    1. Hi Roger. The fact that Jimmy Kimmel got suspended for his show for pointing out that the right is causing most of the violence and that they are trying to claim that the left is the real bad guys is telling. The fact is tRump can’t stand to not be the best and the most at everything and the idea that his side does the wrong things breaks his narrative of who he is. I heard it said that the right wants to be as ugly and vile as possible to everyone else but can’t stand to have anyone point that out. They want to harm others and when others point out the harm they scream that the left is making the trouble. The right is trying to rewrite reality to be what they want not what it is. Something tRump has done in his personal life but now is doing to the country. Hugs

      1. There are some parallels with the 1950s McCarthy era, however McCarthy crossed lines of then what was considered ‘normal’ decency and in a few public situation was ruined.
This does not seem to apply to Trump. I don’t put that down to any innate skill or ‘genius’ of the fellow. He is prospering on a tide of Right-Wing fundamentalism which is willing to cheer him on because he sings their songs.

And there is the whole problem. That wing has always been there in American society. Its oppositions lay back in a complacency, used them as fodder for comedy, did not take them seriously.
        And here we are.

        Take care guys
        Roger
