Hi Roger. I was in a really bad place last night. Knowing I was on the verge of losing control I went to bed. I lay their quietly crying with the memories and thoughts I couldn’t make stop. So I thought if I turned on the music it would help. But it made it worse as the lyrics and phrases would lead to new or specific memories that would then flood over me. I thought the songs themselves were being posted, I did not realize it was just links to Apple’s music store. When the cat woke me at 3:30 for food I realized what I had done and told myself I would delete them in the morning. But having seen your comments I am going to leave them up. I really like the song One Voice as the message is one I really hope to be true. One voice was heard. Not for me as it is far too late for me, but for the next little Scottie out there right now needing help in a world no one seems to hear his cries. Hugs

Music is a powerful medium which can work in all sorts of ways often dependant on the time and the place.
I would carefully reckon at that time this was indeed a powerful way for you to have given voice to the way you were feeling.

I didn’t listen to them all; I know them all; but I did click through on each to see what you were posting, Scottie. I agree with Roger that it is an astute list of songs that are very good, though not necessarily for the frame of mind you were in.
I can vouch, from working with the judges here in the courts, and later working in the schools, more voices are being heard-really heard-and things are happening for the children. Not every single child, but so very many more, and it’s far easier on them and for them than it was when you and I were young.
