And they all have their own ‘bird-alities’ too.
This August a housemartin’s nest attached to other house collapsed while the parents were away depositing three very unhappy adolescents onto our lawn.
We took them to a specialised rescue centre. One was for getting out of the box and fluttering down to the floor, another for peeking out, while a third huddled in a corner in a ‘I want my Mom’ pose.
They all survived and took off for the Winter in North Africa…. We wished them a safe journey and to meet up with their parents.
