I have a friend whose drug prices are going up. One drug has gone from “covered” to “over $200 and there will be limits on quantities allowed”.
So there’s that.

Hi MDavis. I was on an insulin pen that I took between 10 and at max 25 units and often I would wake up with my blood glucose too low. I would wake up with shakes and sweating and Ron would take my blood glucose reading and give me an emergency tablet we keep in stock. But the insurance company refused to cover the insulin that worked for me so now I have to take up to 60 units of a different insulin and I still have morning blood glucose reading of 140 or higher. That is just with no sugars or anything. Because we have a for profit health care system. Not what is the best for the people healthcare system. Hugs

Hi MDavis. But why does our public put up with this just because we have been fed since the 1950s with fears of communism / socialism even though no one really understand what those words mean anymore. We are fed a constant diet by the media owned by the wealthy that we need unrestrained capitalism so the more they make and take from us the better we are. Yet … We see other countries we give billions in aid to like Israel which has universal healthcare that we can not afford we are told here. The public is brainwashed on the subject. The country that claims to be the wealthiest on earth has no social safety nets that 33 other countries have? Why does the CEO compensation rise by 100%s each year but the minimum wage has not increased since the 1970s? And unrestrained capitalism kills the golden goose that lays them the most profit. They accept it in other countries why not here. Because here is where they can make the most profit while killing the public and the public doesn’t stop them. Remember Occupy Wall Street. Great idea but it was too disorganized, we need another one now but led by Elisabeth Warren. Hugs
