Every day it gets a little worse, and hope begins to dwindle. Just a bit.
Maybe in the long painful run this is a good thing, it makes us appreciate what went before, the freedoms, the care we took of what and who we had. maybe not perfect, but there.
It suddenly has become us against them, and ‘them’ is us in riot gear. Or hiding.

Hi Judy. We are on the same wavelenght it seems. Far more people are aware now of the losses in daily freedoms and rights than in a long time. Sadly so many are still uninformed. Either because they don’t want to be informed, they stay in a gaslighting right wing media bubble, or they are so frantic to just make ends meet in life that they can’t stop to take time to inform themselves. It is why red states try to restrict voting times / hours so it makes it hard for working people to vote. But it will be difficult to repair. These groups are well funded and putting their true believers deep into the workings of our government. They have wanted to regress the country and strengthen their control over people and the government and have now gotten what they wanted. Rights and freedoms lost are challenging to claw back. Look at the slow progress from the 1960s to 2024 and realize how fast it is being stripped away. We might have to do what the civil rights movement did in the early 60s and face the threats and violence they did. I hope not but I fear it is coming. Hugs
