  1. I know this is a mostly atheist/agnostic/other blog, and I have no intent of indoctrination here by saying the below.

But as a Christian believer, I cringe when people say things like this. First, to believe that a human can push the hand of God in such a fashion about an issue that even Jesus said only the Father knows when it will happen; then also the harm they’re wreaking on our fellow human beings, which goes against everything we taught in both testaments as well as in those precious Big 10. Shame. They ought to get right quickly, if they’re really believers.

    1. Nice job outing the blasphemers

Blasphemy is claiming to know the mind of god, to speak for god, to act as their agent here. Lying for Jesus is too, and ignoring his teaching to keep it in the closet, but it’s your thunder. You go girl

They’re all going to Hell …

      1. Yeah, mine sticks its nose out now and then, I agree. But it’s more of a “geez-aren’t-they-afraid-He’ll-hear-or-see-them” sort of a thing when it sticks its nose out of the closet. It really ticks me off when they blame God for their own bloodlust.

        1. To take the analogy a bit further: I can’t think of a better example of blasphemy than someone or someones so jiggering events as to bring about the end of the world and force their god to come rescue them …

    2. Hi Ali. I am an atheist who has a scientific world view but I leave open the possiblity that some things about the supernatural cannot yet be explained by science because science is not advanced enough to test those claims or find the source. Some has been but much has not, and I prefer to keep an open mind and even temperament on it.

But that is me. Many people who come to the blog are religious to one degree or the other and many believe in the supernatural. Ron is not a religious man but he believes in forces for good and evil, he believes in the supernatural. The people who come here do not have to believe as I do nor hide their faith. I only ask everyone to respect each others beleifs.

I like what you wrote on forcing gods hand. I posted Rev. Ed Trevors who said the very same things you did. Hugs

  2. my son yesterday resigned his Army reserve commission…and his reasoning after almost 30 years of service was “Mom, they said we have to “follow gods plan for the second coming” and he was so appalled he got out rather than “follow illegal orders.” He would have been only called for assistance duty here in the US but said he “would not be able to live with himself doing so”. He warned me that he will “more than likely” end up imprisoned for his actions yesterday.

    1. Oh, I hope he won’t have trouble with what he did. After all, he did resign; he didn’t jump out of an airplane on the way to the middle East. I will keep him in mind, suze. I have huge respect for what he did, not only because I agree and am pacifist 🕊: he did the right thing as a civilized human.

You’ve been on my heart for a little while, I’d missed seeing you. I know you don’t get online all the time. I’m happy to see you when I do, though!💖

    2. Hi Suze. I am proud of your son but a bit confused. He has the right to resign his commission after any obligated time for promotion especailly after 30 years. The only time they can’t is in a declared war or ememgency situation and this action against Iran is not a declared either one. Yes the administration is vindictive, but even they have to follow the rules of the UCMJ. If they start anything it will be instantly dismissed. Well that was the way the military used to work. It’s It like everything has been corrupted by tRump and crew. I wish him the best. Hugs

      1. that is the way it is SUPPOSED to work…unless your immediate commander is a MAFA-asshole. Rich was threatened as he handed in his resignation. his response was “you guys TRAINED me to easily get rid of traitors, insurgents and basic assholes. You think you worry me?” LOVE my son!
