Insider trading much. This government is so corrupt.

    1. Hi Sean. I am not quite so cynical. I think there have been presidential administrations from both parties in the US that have not been openly corrupt. I think of Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower from the republican party and Obama from the democratic party. tRump has always been a mob boss wannabe and connected to organized crime. tRump’s father was deep in the mob crime scene in New York City. His son went from local mobs to foreign mobs. He ended up at the last being connected to the Russian mob headed up by… Putin. Ever wonder why tRump never says a bad word against Putin? He has been so compromised by Putin that there is no way he will will ever stand up to Putin or deny anything Putin wants. See Ukraine. Hugs

      1. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I believe people can look at the same events and come to different conclusions based on their experiences, information, and values.
Personally, I try to focus less on political personalities and more on principles — integrity, accountability, respect for institutions, and service to the people. No political party or leader is perfect, and history shows that both parties have had leaders who tried to serve the country in meaningful ways.
For me, the most important thing is that citizens continue to ask questions, seek truth, and remain engaged in the democratic process while treating one another with respect.
Strong nations are built not only by leaders, but by people who are willing to listen, debate ideas respectfully, and work toward the common good.

        1. Hi Sean. Well said. I agree with you. I also don’t like to build up a hero worship type thing for a political or elected individual. I am not talking so much of the horrific cult of maga that worship tRump like a cult leader. I am talking of people who refuse to look at a political leader honestly and crittically ignorning any missteps or actions simply because they belong to the same party. When I mentioned Obama I was talking about how he did not use the office to scam or extort others and groups for his own gains. However he did things I did not agree with and took actions that I feel were not in the public interest or good for the population at large.

I just wish more people understood the debate ideas respectfully. So many times I have seen discussions on issues like equality and equal rights for LGBTQ+ or minorities where the people I am having the conversation with resort to name calling and being extremely vulgar as if it were a winning argument in their favor. Best wishes. Hugs
