well that is an effing mess, isn’t it. My birth mother was from Canada. I was born here, years later; adopted by her sister (it took me years before I figured this out) and basically I have TWO birth certificates that are 80 years old. The only original part of any of that is the hospital that I was born in, and they recently removed the birthing section (and I suspect all the records there) permanently. It would appear that unless I can find both certificates and dig up the now invisible hospital stuff, Im not voting anywhere, for anything. Burden doesn’t even come close. Pity the poor soul who has no birth certificate…
