(Kinda annoying that it’s so easy to post images, just not in comments. Ah, well. All my very best for rapid recovery, Randy!)

Thank you, Ali, and thank you Scottie. I had that surgery on Thursday, and finally got back to work yesterday but I couldn’t seem to catch my breath all day. Then this morning I had trouble getting my breath and became very concerned so I went in for poking and prodding. One thing; they asked me why I had waited so long – I started having trouble catching my breath on Sunday – and of course, it comes down to the fact that in America we gamble our health with a waiting game of “am I dying because the rent is due, too….?”. It’s bad enough that I have to consider losing a day’s pay, but the bill for the care is going to take me a year or more to pay off. That’s an unfair bit of calculus for someone to have to negotiate, especially at 4:00 in the morning when not feeling well and a fair bit scared.

Hi Randy. I am so glad you are feeling better. I was really worried when you told me you were struggling to breathe. That is something serious that can get life threatening rapidly. As for the cost of healthcare in the US it is horrible that the wealthiest country on the planet with the one trillion dollar milliatary who tRump has asked for another 500 billion and Kegseth is asking for 200 billion because he says killing bad guys takes money. The US is the only developed country with no kind of universal healthcare and 34 other countries have health care payed for by the government / taxes. And we give Israel over 4 billion a year plus in assistance which they use to pay for their people to have free healthcare and free higher education. Plus to pay for a large part of their military. But we in the US can’t have such things because in the US profit is king we stock holders must always make more money no matter who suffers for them to have more money. Hugs

Hi Ali. I love that gif! I agree it makes no sense that it is so hard / impossible to post memes and pictures in the comments. Hugs

Hi Judy. This song, and specifically this vid, have always had a spot in my heart. There is no stereotype in this chorus – men from so many different backgrounds and ages, and all have experienced the consequence of being genuine. I wonder how many of those men have family in the audience, or more how many know their family would never come to see them. Today I went through a very scary time, alone but for my Brother. I sure wish the self-righteous of this world actually read that book they like to thump so much.
And, you are right – that conductor looked upon the choir with such pride for them. It was touching.

Hi Randy. Did Ron and I ever mention to you that we knew a guy who lived in West Palm Beach and he and his lover moved where that chours is. So he joined it. Ron always hopes to spot him in the chorus. Glad you are feeling better. I was pretty worried about you. But it is grand the community we have here, see how they came out to support you when you were not feeling well. The people here are the best. Hugs

Hi Judy. The song has always held a grand place in my heart. Until I met Randy I never had a real brother, only hell spawns offspring of my adoptive parents who used and abused me. Randy was the brother I never had. Randy has always been so wonderful and like the song says, he is my brother. Hugs

Thank you Scottie. And, thank you for being on the other end of the phone. It was not a fun day, but I knew I had you in my corner and that meant more to me than I can tell you.
Hugs!!!

Hi Randy. That is what brothers are for. I read this to Ron and he replied “He is a wonderful man”. Randy you have always been there for me when the vortex comes. It is amazing how strong the handle I can grab to prevent the vortex from taking me, that handle has your name on it. If I can be there for you in return, well that is being a good brother. Hugs

Hi Da-al. He is. He was struggling to breathe, felt weak which is not normal for my 6 foot 8 large brother, but he had just had sinus surgery and everything cascaded on him. He got what he needed in the ER and went home feeling better. Thank you for your concern. Hugs
