Ron is home and well

Ron is home and well.  The procedure went well.  The blockage was not as bad as the CT scan showed. The doctor said no stents were needed and the blockage could be managed by medication.  Hugs

  1. Excellent!! Better news than was expected!! I am so happy for you.

Now get Uber to bring you guys some food you can enjoy while you both rest up from this.

I am so thankful for this news, Scottie.

      1. It could. Maybe they even have housekeeping! I see those Home Aglow ads fairly often while I’m jogging, but I don’t know that they’re Uber-affiliated. But I have another friend who uses Uber eats pretty regularly, as she lives alone. My town doesn’t have it. Which is probably good, or I’d be as big as my little house!

        1. Hi Ali. Ron and I went for a short walk today. I was willing to go longer but Ron got concerned as I was starting to limp. My back and hips are so bad right now. I had to use the rolling adjustable stool he got me to do the dishes yesterday. This afternoon he is at his sister’s new home installing a light in the kitchen and painting some things for her. I was doing the laundry but right now I am in so much pain I can hardly breathe. I did take extra medications. I don’t know what I will do when I go through them all. Ron got home and saw I was struggling. I asked him if he could take the clothing out of the dryer so I could fold it. But as I was struggling he wanted me to go sit in my office and he would do the rest of the laundry. He is starting to see how bad off I have been. Hugs

          1. Maybe it’s a slower process for the meds to clear the blockages than doctor and you guys anticipated. Here’s to him coming all the way back this week.

        2. Hi Ali. I looked up uber eats. It sounds wonderful to Ron and I. We normally tip delivery drivers $8 to $10 for local stuff so that is well with in the guidelines I read. It is more than the explainers I read. But no way I would expect someone to go to a restaurant, get our order, drive to our place, and get it to us warm for less than $10 to $15 for their trouble. It makes no sense to me why someone ask someone to do that for less. The two explainers I read were offering tips less than five dollars; well that wouldn’t cover gas in our area depending on where the food was ordered from and our home. Hugs

          1. I’m not informed as to gig delivery drivers. I tip Big Cheese and Casey’s delivery drivers here 20% of the bill, same as I would in a restaurant. So, FWIW.

  2. Well GOOD.

Stents, by-the-by, are not really a bad thing.

My mom’s heart attack (80’s) took 2, I believe, maybe 3 of them. Easy surgery.

Small cut on the body, catheter to where they are going to be ‘installed’. Open them

up to keep the vein open, pull the catheter and sew up the incisions.

She was in hospital for only 2 days, as I remember (happened 5 – 10 year ago).
