We’re Wrong About the Rates of Trans People

I love Ethel and her way of presenting facts and reality.  She points out that studies in high schools indicate that the rates of trans children are 3.+ and those questioning are 2.+.  Plus she points out the reason more trans people are out is the same reason more gay kids came out in the 2000s, it was the left handed issue again.  When being left handed became OK to admit more people admitted and openly lived as left handed. Despite everything, trans kids feel safer coming out in the US than ever before.   Hugs.

    Despite everything. 🫢🥺

Upsetting, considering the vocal hostility, but this is ultimately encouraging.

When I was a younger girl, some perfume counter bimbo told me that my eyebrows were troubling but, thanks to Brooke Shields, I was allowed to keep them unplucked.

It’s a minor point, I realize, but it’s a marker for pioneers loosening up the rules we are forced to live with (not by – with)

    1. Hi MDavis. That people some how feel that they have a right to judge / demand others look a certain way is very wrong and irritating. That females and males must fit certain stereotypes of what is feminine or pretty enough and that men must fit a masculine manly look or they are somehow not men is what makes trans haters think they can determine a gender by looking at someone. It is stupid in my opinion and something that is a myth that people fascinated with movie stereotypes and the idea that men were real men and women were real women in the 1950s want to promote. But that myth and those people think that only certain people have the right to judge others based on looks and those that don’t fit that stereotype are somehow ill or wrong, needing to be corrected and their presentation/appearance changed to make the ones doing the judging happy with their world view. Instead of forcing the haters, the people who judge others on appearance accept that people come in all shapes, sizes, looks, and ways of presenting our current maga wantto be rulers want them to be celebrated and given more authority to demand everyone conform to the standards of the haters fantasies. Hugs
