Closeted Gay Teen’s Parents Find His Search History | Gay Teens | Hidden Kisses

I am not really not feel all that well.   Nothing bad but my stomach is unsettled and upset.   I think I just needed a down day.   But then this clip popped up in my feed.   It is a story of two boys who are gay teens, they discover each other.   At the point of this clip one of the gay boys has been beaten up for being gay and his teachers want to bring in a guest speaker to try to teach tolerance and acceptance of gay kids.   The person in charge at the school is against it because some parents will think the school is proselytizing or pushing gay rights / gay sex on the kids.  Sound familiar?   The boy who got beat up is accepted by his dad who celebrates his 16th birthday by taking him to a gay club / bar where he lets the boy meet other gay people.   But the main focus of this clip is on the other boy Louis and the highly negative reaction of his parents to seeing his search history, his chat logs with Nathan his boyfriend, and finding out he is gay.   They don’t take it well with the dad hurting the boy and then they try to force him to change claiming both it is a choice he is making and a sickness he has.   They take away his phone and computer and keep him grounded not even allowed to go to school until he comes to his sense and decides not to be gay anymore.    Louis figures he has to lie to get back his life so tells them he is not gay but the dad finds out he has been using his forbidden phone to contact his boyfriend.   It just makes the situation worse.  His father demands the entire family shun him.  He cannot eat with the family, he cannot be in the rooms with them, he is to stay in his room, and even his little brother is not allowed to talk or be with him.

I am posting this for those that don’t understand how important it is for LGBTQ+ kids to have acceptance at school, to have teachers willing to provide them with safe classrooms where they know the teacher will not let them be attacked or bullied.  Especially kids with highly religious or bigoted families.  If the kids don’t think it is safe for them to tell their parents how does a teacher telling the parent make it any better or safer for the kid.   It is why symbols like the rainbow flag and other gay pride things in the classrooms or on the doors are so very important.   This is happening in the US right now, all over the country.  Kids are born gay, they know it, and some parents are accepting due to the positive teaching in society.  But some parents are horrible bigoted and not only punish their own kids for how they are born but either make them do conversion therapy which has been proven to be harmful and of no benefit or worse kick them out of the home making them homeless forcing them to live on the streets somehow.   Sadly that for most homeless gay / trans kids means selling their bodies for food or shelter.   The very thing the parents claimed to want to protect them from.  I have watched videos and read stories of Christian / Muslim families who claim that their gay child is choosing to let the devil in to them by sinning so they cannot have their young gay teen in their home.       The clip is not in English, but the subtitles are very good.   Please understand this is what the Don’t Say gay Bills are doing, promoting this bigotry and harm to gay kids.   In Florida it has removed safe spaces for gay kids and forces teachers to tell bigoted parents that their child is gay or trans so they can be treated this way.  It removes the teaching of tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people.  It removes the positive reinforcement about LGBTQ+ people so that the only thing kids hear / know about them is the negatives, that those people are bad and dangerous to the good normal kids so they need to be stopped, hurt, and harmed before they hurt good normal kids.  Please watch and leave me a comment on your feelings.   Hugs

Three Ex-Proud Boys Hired To Work Miami-Dade Polls -JMG

The Miami New Times reports:

Miami-Dade County requires that poll volunteers during elections pledge to be “respectful of all voters” and to “remain nonpartisan,” but at least one high-profile volunteer has cast some doubt on his desire to follow those rules.

“That’s right, you heard it right, I’m working the poll. Cry some more, liberals. Enjoy your day,” said ex-Vice City Proud Boys leader Gabriel Garcia while wearing a “Fuck Biden” hat in a video shared on the “Floridians FIRST” Telegram channel.

Two other men who were at one time affiliated with the Vice City Proud Boys — a Miami-based splinter sect of the group that’s now been disavowed by national leadership, according to members of the Villain City Proud Boys — will also be working the polls.

All three are members of the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee. In the video below, Garcia can be heard calling out, “Nancy! Come out and play!” as he stormed the Capitol. Garcia last appeared on JMG when he was among the Proud Boys who blocked reporters from the hospital room of Marco Rubio’s canvasser.

Maybe they’re just assholes, but maybe they’ll learn from exposure that most of the people involved with our elections want them to be handled fairly and truthfully. And that most people accept the results even if they don’t get what they wanted. In 2016, I hoped right to the end, that the Electors would do the part of their job that is to prevent someone unworthy from becoming President. They didn’t and I cringed for the next 4 years, but I managed not to riot. I’m not saying they should be more like me, but they should.

And if/when he’s removed from this position, he’ll be the one crying that he’s a “victim” for being held responsible for his words.

Laboratories of Autocracy – David Pepper – It’s the States, Stupid!

This is one of the most important posts I have made in my life.  This audio (sorry to the hearing impaired but this is too important to ignore) shows how the republicans have seriously skewed the vote due to gerrymandered districts where democrats have to win over 75% or even more to get less than the republicans seats in states, shows how drastically skewed states are in all other aspects.   Yes All gives his normal comedian intro warm up, but bypass that to get to the real story.   It really is more important than I can describe.   Thanks and hugs

CNN’s Dana Bash Smacks Down Rick Scott Claim Democrats ‘Cut Medicare’ By Allowing Drug Negotiations

Republicans have learned by trump that they can lie with impunity.  Nothing they say really matters because their supporters will believe what they say and more importantly will vote for them no matter what lies they tell.  They can accuse the Democrats of what they are doing and their supporters will believe it.  They can flat out lie now with no care that they might be called out.  The republican supporters, the base don’t care what is true or real, they suck up the right wing media better than any vacuum.   It is all tribal for them, R great but D horrible bad that will destroy the country, god, and what the think as their god give right.    It has gotten ridiculous, and it is like we have two different countries in two different realities.   Hugs

CNN anchor Dana Bash smacked down Florida Senator and NRSC Chairman Rick Scott’s claim that Democrats “cut Medicare” by allowing the agency to negotiate for lower drug prices.

President Joe Biden has been attacking Scott regularly over a proposal that would cause Medicare, Social Security, and Medicaid to sunset every five years, requiring Congress to reauthorize them.

On Sunday morning’s edition of CNN’s State of the Union, Bash confronted Scott about the plan, which he insists is not intended to cut Medicare, but to “preserve” them through unspecified means.

When Scott tried to claim Democrats “cut $280 billion out of Medicare,” Bash stepped in to correct him, repeatedly, before finally giving up and moving on:

DANA BASH: Democrats say that one of your proposals that, which would sunset all federal legislation after five years jeopardizes Medicare and Social Security. You’ve previously said that those programs need to be preserved, reformed and protected. So just a simple yes or no, do Republicans want to cut Medicare and or Social Security?

RICK SCOTT: Absolutely not. And, you know, the Democrats just cut $280 billion. All Democrats in the Senate and House voted to cut $280 billion out of Medicare just two months ago. And then they want to say Republicans want to cut something. Democrats have done this.

DANA BASH: Senator,

RICK SCOTT: Joe Biden when he was senator said he wanted to cut Medicare and Social Security. I believe we got to preserve them and make sure we we we keep them. What I want to do is make sure we live within our means and make sure we preserve those programs. People have paid into them. They believe in them. I believe them. I’m going to fight like hell to make sure we preserve Medicare and Social Security.

DANA BASH: Just want to correct the record. The Democrats plan, which is now law, it didn’t cut social, excuse me. It didn’t cut Medicare benefits. It allowed for negotiation for prescription drug prices, which would ultimately bring down the price and the cost for Medicare consumers. But I want to ask the next question, which is about raising the eligibility…

RICK SCOTT: We just finished that, though. They cut 280, Dana. It cut$280 billion out of Medicare. That means we’re going to have fewer lifesaving drugs. It cut $280 billion out of Medicare. They can say what it did”’

DANA BASH: It did not cut benefits…

RICK SCOTT: It will reduce life saving drugs.

DANA BASH: It didn’t. It did not…

RICK SCOTT: You cut $280 billion out of Medicare, something’s gonna happen…

DANA BASH: Good. Okay. All right.

RICK SCOTT: Come on. All right. I mean.

DANA BASH: I want to, we can debate that and and, for a long time. But I want to focus on you and the Republicans and what you want to do right now.
