Esper: I Stopped US Strikes On Venezuela And Iran

Mediaite reports:

According to a transcript of the interview provided by CBS, Esper told correspondent Norah O’Donnell, “it’s important to our country, it’s important to the republic, the American people, that they understand what was going on in this very consequential period — the last year of the Trump administration.”

“And to tell the story about things we prevented: really bad things, dangerous things that could have taken the country in a dark direction,” he added.

“At various times during…the last year of the administration, you know, folks in the White House are proposing to take military action against Venezuela, to strike Iran,” Esper replied. “At one point, somebody propose we blockade Cuba.”

  1. I believe that what Esper writes is factual. But the media attention is only going to reinforce the maga crowd’s faith in their “Savior” since “He” is the only one who knows and speaks The Truth.

    1. Hello Nan. Have you noticed the trend of all these tell all books from the trump administration? Only the internal cult members such as Stephen Miller and a few others have not written them. Also all of these books have outrageous and / or illegal acts that the people there did not tell the public until long after it mattered and in a way they could profit from it. All of the information these books dribble out should have been known before the election. I don’t know if it would have made a difference but the independent voters that voted for Republicans might have voted differently if they had known these things. But in truth we all knew what tRump was and how he acted, well everyone that listened / watched more than Fox and right wing media.

BTW OT. Our car is done and according to the text message they sent us they inspected it carefully. We will go get it in the morning. I am glad this whole thing is done. I don’t know if we will trade but I know we won’t buy from that dealership again, their sales department never even called us back even after the sales manager asked them to do so. I will wear a mask so as not to spread the cold I have. I am nicer than them.

        1. Hello Nan. Nope all the sensors in the car are not working properly. We got in touch with the service manager, and he said the paperwork showed they did not do the calibrations on the system and sensors. So he is having them call us back to schedule when to bring it back in. The entire front end is full of those sensors and as all of it had to be replaced you would think they would have adjusted / calibrated them. Heck when we had the windshield replaced, we had to have the sensors calibrated. Oh the sales department finally called us. They tried to talk us into a lessor model. We declined. The guy then asked if he could call us if they got the vehicle in that we wanted. I said sure as it was the only way they were going to get a sale as I did not plan to call them to ask after it took over a month for them to call us. Time will tell.

          1. Considering the circumstances of this issue, one would think they would check and double-check to ensure all was working as it should. BUT … that’s in a perfect world. 🙃
