Hello all my Playtime viewers. Does it surprise anyone that I have a Christian preacher in my YouTube feed? That I watch his channel now and again. He keeps me from hating all Christians. He shows me the decent side of some who preach the Christian faith. If you are Christian, I recommend checking him out. If he can get a science only believing atheist to watch him, think of how he could resonate with a believer. I am off to bed, it has been a long , long day. Hugs
Hey everyone – hit like and subscribe to see what we produce next! I’m an Anglican Priest in the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and I get to serve in the Parish of St Margaret of Scotland, in the beautiful city of Halifax, NS, that sits on the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. My pronouns are he/him/his. My theology is primarily Christo-centric – Jesus is at the centre and it is against Him that all values are bounced off. I believe all people are created in the image of God and are children of God and are heirs to the throne of God – no conditions – therefore every single person we meet deserves our love, and respect.
I am an older gay guy in a long-term wonderful relationship. My spouse and I are in our 36th year together. I love politics and news. I enjoy civil discussions and have no taboo subjects. My pronouns are he / him / his and my email is Scottiestoybox@gmail.com

Hello Michael. Hope your week is grand also. Yes so often we hear of hateful people, but the good ones tend to get little press. Is religion a big problem in Germany as it is in the US? I cannot understand how religion got so entwined with secular laws and government in the US. It was not that way when I was young. Hugs
Hi Scottie! The week started very normal. Religion officially isnt a big problem in Germany, but all our politicans are also strong followers of one of the big Christian churches we have. They are bringing them the votes they need. In the region Upper Palatine (Bavaria) where i live, only the Roman Catholics are ruling. The Catholic Church has now taken over another clinic and thus banned abortions at this clinic. However, all of this happens here without much public discussion, since most of the forests and land belong either to the Catholic Church or to the still existing nobility. ;-/ xx Michael
If you haven’t already, you should look into John Pavlovitz. He’s a Christian author, pastor, and speaker who is VERY liberal in his beliefs/thinking — yet he’s also very devoted to his faith. (There are some intelligent believers our there … they’re not all dunderheads!)
Hello Nan. I have seen some of his stuff on one of the blogs I follow, maybe yours or Jill’s. I will look into him, but I am already struggling to keep up with those I already follow. Hugs
I don’t think I’ve ever referenced him on my blog … but maybe (?). I do understand where you’re coming from, but he’s really a good one to check on now and again.
Hello Nan. I saved his website in my morning read under Heather Cox website. Hopefully I will be able to catch up again with all my reading and posting. I got way behind when I was hurting so bad I couldn’t sit. I already said I am going to try to keep up. But I may simply have to change my focus on something to make it all work more smoothly.
For days I have been having trouble with WordPress not remembering my preferences when I set them for posting. It used to only happen when I cleaned out my cookies, but I must have changed some settings because I have to change the preferences every time I post. I have tried to figure out what setting I changed but cannot find it. It still remembers the classic block but not the other preference settings. I have checked the WordPress settings, the different security settings on the computers and nothing should be doing this. It is happening on both computers in all browsers. So I am at a loss to find the cause. It is not a really big problem, but it requires me to click post twice and stuff like that. It is annoying. Hugs
