Israel-Funded PACs Fork Out MILLIONS To Pro-Israel Democratic Candidates

A HuffPost investigation has revealed that two pro-Israel PACs have poured almost $6.5 million into the campaign of Democratic Maryland candidate Glenn Ivey in order to defeat ex-U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards, who has been lightly critical of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. And the best part? Both candidates have barely addressed the issue while campaigning and have openly admitted that the Israel-Palestine conflict barely comes up in their region, making the donations even more suspicious. “There are plenty of major issues in Prince George’s County.

Inflation and high gas prices have hit the mostly working- and middle-class Black voters who live in this commuter suburb hard.

While the county is one of the wealthiest majority-Black jurisdictions in the country, crime remains high: There were 135 homicides in 2021. Schools here lag behind those in the uber-wealthy neighboring counties of suburban Washington, D.C.

But it’s not crime or schools or the cost of living that has upended the Democratic congressional primary in the majority-Black district that dominates the county, but the United States’ support for Israel, a country 5,800 miles away.

Two pro-Israel groups have poured over $6.4 million into the contest, aiming to defeat former U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards and boost the candidacy of Glenn Ivey, a former prosecutor and Capitol Hill aide.

While little separates the two candidates ideologically — both are broadly liberal Democrats — Edwards’ willingness to even gently break with Capitol Hill’s long-standing consensus on Israel issues has earned her the ire of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).”

These connections need to be made clear and people need to understand that these attempts to restrict rights and education are all connected and controlled by the extreme right religious groups. Look at the people behind these and they are all extreme religious fanatics. Don’t be fooled, this is a generations long attempt to both dumb down the country but to change the understanding / narrative to what the religious groups want to pretend was the history of this country. Deranged Christian Fundamentalist (redundant?), multi-level marketing grifter and Amway heir, and former Secretary of Education Betsy Devos declared (again) that the department she oversaw should be eliminated. I’m shocked.

“I personally think the Department of Education should not exist,” said DeVos, nonprofit news site Florida Phoenix first reported. DeVos’ comment was received with cheers and applause as she spoke at the first national Moms for Liberty summit over the weekend.

We are helpfully told that the Moms for Liberty is a “conservative nonprofit founded in Florida that advocates for parents to have more influence over public school decisions.”

If they sounds familiar, these same moms demanded that their kids be mask and vaccination free to die from Covid, and screamed about CRT in schools (not a thing), that LGBTQ people should not exist in curriculum, and of course, erase any discussion of slavery less their lily-white slowflakes be disturbed.
