ACLU Sues Trump Admin Over Birthright Citizenship

“Denying citizenship to U.S.-born children is not only unconstitutional — it’s also a reckless and ruthless repudiation of American values. Birthright citizenship is part of what makes the United States the strong and dynamic nation that it is.

“This order seeks to repeat one of the gravest errors in American history, by creating a permanent subclass of people born in the U.S. who are denied full rights as Americans.

“We will not let this attack on newborns and future generations of Americans go unchallenged. The Trump administration’s overreach is so egregious that we are confident we will ultimately prevail.” – ACLU executive director Anthony D. Romero.

  1. Trump has taken civil liberties, BACK into the, DARK AGES, and, who knows, next, he may be, GUNNING down the rights to vote, for the, naturalized, citizens, and, the, IRONY of this is, he’d be, negating his own, rights, as a, U.S., citizen, because, was he not, born from, Irish immigrant parents himself? Then, his presidential win would then be, NULL and, VOID, based off of his, retracting the laws that makes, all who are, born in the, U.S., citizens of the, U.S., to be, eligible to run for, prslesidency.

    1. Hi taurusingemini. No sadly his grandfather was a German immigrant. His father married a German immigrant. So in that he wouldn’t qualify for citizenship by his rules. He also married two wives that were immigrants. But the fact is the constitution can not be overruled by a law. It can’t work that way. The only to change or modify an amendment is to have it agreed to by 75% of the congress and then ratified by 38 states. However the way tRump and his minions talk they simply plan to take over and force what they want using police and military to overthrow the laws and constitution. Hugs
