What Are Satanists Up To In Kansas???

By my dogs that love gravy I like this man’s message.  I enjoy listening to him as he asked everyone including the Christians to love each other, to be kind to each other.  He reaches even a complete atheist like me.  The fact is you can gain more converts, more adherents to your view with kindness and joy, than you will ever be able to do with anger, hate, and force.  This man will bring far more people to Jesus and to the principles that Jesus taught than the Christian nationalist hate preachers ever will even if they get their way.  No law forcing a person to sit in a pew can ever make them believe the stuff that is against the inborn idea of fairness, kindness, respect for others … or as someone said treat others as you would like to be treated.  Period.  The saying was not treat others the way you want to be treated only if they are like you, only if they believe as you do, only if they are the same skin color or the same sexual orientation.   Treat everyone as you would like to be treated.  Hugs

  1. By these theocrats own words and actions, I can only believe that they wish to be treated with degrading oppression and cruelty, since they constantly remind me of what big big followers of the Jesus they are.

treat others as you would like to be treated.” indeed.

    1. Hi Bruce. When I was between 7 and 9 my adopting mother and her hell spawn daughters taught Sunday School to the kids in the basement of the church. It was surreal to me the very people that abused me every day of the week including after I got home from church were acting so pious. I would be raped then forced to dress nice in a suit made for a kid, go to these church services, watch the people abusing me preen in their goodness due to being Christian, to come home be told to remove my suit … and get beaten. I really learned to hate their god. Interesting enough I was lucky at one point. The Priest of the church started to take an interest in me, wanting me to spend time with him before church and to have me stay after to help with clean up. I realize now he was grooming looking to abuse me. That I never objected to the hugs, touches, the … groping of my ass and front not developed region, his hands down my pants. I had been taught to allow it when an adult touched me there. But more never happened that I remember … yet. I remember going to the back of the church with him, being alone with him, being allowed to ring the big church bell as he watched and helped me by holding me around my mid region. I don’t know why but suddenly we stopped going to the church and the adopting mother was very angry. I can only think she wanted her way on something and did not get it … so stormed out taking her brood with her. I do know that as she aged and towards the end of her life she was terrified of death. I can only assume she felt she would be punished somehow for what she did. Hugs

  2. Amen. Amen.

The folk who claim they are Christian would have been living their faith if they had simply gathered in a church for quiet pray for the souls of those who were attended the Satanists’ services. It would have been far more impressive. No violence. Only the faith they are supposed to believe in.

Or if they are true Americans simply shrug and say about this group ‘ Well it’s their constitutional right’ and get on with your day.

    1. Hi Roger. I remember that when I was a young kid my adopting mother and her daughters joined a local church and while they did not follow any precepts I could see of a religious life they started teaching Sunday School classes to the kids. You can read what I wrote to Bruce above. The thing that really stands out to me. She and one of her daughters, yes both abused me and her daughter she also gave me to her boyfriends and both husbands … they were totally terrified of death. I can only think they were afraid of what they had done to others would be judged by the angry god they worshiped, not a loving god they could have had. On the other hand, when I die I am not afraid of death only sad because I hope it will not be me leaving Ron alone. I love him and we need each other to survive now. Hugs

      1. We should never be afraid on Death itself; though fear of the means of dying is very understandable.
Leaving aside the Christian outlooks (there are many) on ‘what happens afterwards’ there are many outlooks several not religious based (although tending to the spiritual).
That said Scottie I understand how you feel about death separating you and Ron. I would be honest here and say Sheila and I despite our Christian beliefs share your feelings.

        Take care both of you.

  3. Yeah, I posted about this on the evening of the day it happened. It’s here somewhere.

There are a lot of Publicans in Kansas. They want everyone to see what they’re doing, instead of following Jesus’s advice to observe in private.

    1. Hi Ali. Sorry I missed your post. I do enjoy them, I seriously do. I have started to when I get up put your scheduled posts in a window and on tabs of their own so I will be able to see and deal with them When they become active. But I have been so exhausted lately trying to keep up with all I need to do in the house and to help Ron that I had to open a second window for them. Please know I do see them, and save them to read later, and I appreciate what you are doing. Hugs

      1. No worries! You do have a lot to do at home. Sometimes I post something you already posted, too. I just wanted to respond to this post.

    2. Hi Ali. Do you think most of the Christians in public office are cosplaying or do you think they really believe the stuff they spew? Why do you think the Publican religious in your state hate the religious people who want to do what Jesus said, feed the hunger, shelter the ones needing it, cloth the ones without clothing, … especially feed school children that are hungry … that they say no angrily to? Jesus did not say to ask if they are taking something they did not deserve or eating better than lowly people should. He said any who do this for the lowest do it for me as I remember the verse Roger likes to send to me. Ali please understand this is not an attack on you, your faith or even your state. I am desperately trying to understand why some people use god to deny food to kids, use their god to hurt others, yet think their god will welcome them to his prepared place in their next life? The question springs from the last set of comments I answered on religious people where I talked of being harmed before being dragged to church as a prop, then when I got home abused again. If you read it, you know why I ask this one. My memories get stuck on things, details, and now it is here. Best wishes always and hugs.

      1. No attack taken, of course. And I did read that.

Many of the people here don’t use religion to deny public assistance to people including children; they simply don’t like government doing it, so they’re grudging about that. If it got down to literally having to go into schools to provide food to kidsand poor families, they’d decide the government could do that, after all. Stuff like that. But we also have the ones who like a nice photo of themselves handing a check to the food bank at Christmas, too. But they don’t begrudge helping people, because of that verse. They just don’t like it very much, and wish to vet recipients hard. Also, they want strict accounting on spending. But they aren’t going to starve people, though they may deny them housing, depending on how it’s done. It gets complicated, but most are not totally hypocritical about basic human need.

Where the Publican part comes here is in situations like this: culture war stuff. Also Israel-Palestine stuff. When it comes to abused kids, they want the death penalty when it is found out, but they don’t like going digging. It’s about 95% toward believing people when they report, but times are different these days, and that’s progress from the 60s-70s, when a “credible” adult could deny and be believed over an abused family member.

Then there are ones who claim religious freedom to discriminate and to disallow medical care, and also to deregulate men abusing family members. I’m not convinced they’re actual believers, because they do nothing Christ-like ever, and do not exhibit the law as Jesus gave it to us. My state representative is like that. His pickup literally says, among other things, “Pro-life. Pro-gun.” in that order. He refuses to vote to repeal the death penalty, dollar cost regardless, even as he wants to cut Medicaid, etc. for “freedom.” I don’t see how he can be a Christian.
Fortunately, it’s not my place to be concerned about that.
