What Do You Think About Christians Calling Other People…….?

This video touches just briefly on child abuse in that the republicans / clergy / highly religious do in the defense of the LGBTQ+ especially trans people accused of it.  The Rev. Trevors is a real supporter of the LGBTQ+ and he doesn’t like it when Christians use his god /  bible to harm others.  Hugs

  1. These people who defile the message of My Lord Jesus Christ with offensive posters of Him wearing an MAGA hat or carrying an assault gun. Who preach intolerance and seem short on quoting the words of the Gospels.
These are not Christians. These are heretics.

    1. Hi Determined- I began a comment similar to what you said then found myself going way beyond a simple comment. So, made a post on it. I agree with you that to so drastically misrepresent Christ as well as drumpf is extraordinarily dangerous, but it is far easier to jump on the band wagon than to look into the mirror honestly.

    2. Hi Roger. I am sorry. I hope you know I don’t post these videos from the Reverend with malice. I enjoy his videos and while I am not a believer in the Christian faith I do support the views of the Jesus in the bible as I understand his message. I really take “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” as a serious mantra for my life. The Old Testament god is detestable unless you realize it is a geopolitical narrative of a people trying to figure out how to live their daily life with different fractions / leaders.

I know you already know this but for new viewers my life was saved at 17 years old by a very religious farmer I worked for who found me hiding in one of the barns after a bad beating. I think my adopting male adult would soon kill me, his violence had been getting worse. I begged the farmer to just let me spend the summer in the barn, working for him. I promised I wouldn’t be a problem. Instead he sent me to a church run boarding school paying the entire cost. I do not know what he said when he went to my adoptive home that day but when he came back while his wife was helping me with my wounds he promised me I could return to that home safely and he would pick me up in the morning to take me to the school. So how even if I never believed could I hate someone who followed the advice of someone who told his followers to take care of those around you that need your help.

Religion can be a help, an uplifting code of conduct that even people like me the nonreligious can take the good parts of to enrich our lives. I have a personal code of … honor I follow. Is that any different from the religious person’s code if they want to help not harm, want to not use their holy book to attack others but to uplift others and find joy? Sorry my thoughts are a bit rambled tonight. Hugs.

      1. Hi Scottie.
Sorry for the delay in replying. This week really got away from us. In fact Sheila and I reckoned to fit stuff in there was another day entered fitted in between Tuesday and Wednesday I named it ‘Twendsday’ Sheila thought ‘Woosday’ was more suitable…she had a point.

Don’t worry about the videos either I find them interesting, my problem is with those who see themselves as Christians and yet spend little time reflecting on the teachings of Jesus. Instead try and shovel a Taliban-Lite code onto everyone.
My rule of thumb will always be.
If it doesn’t seek to spread Compassion, Respect and Tolerance be wary of it.

Take care both of you, we will be thinking of you.
        Roger & Sheila.

        1. Hi Roger and Sheila. Thank you, Roger. I know how both of you value the Christian Jesus that you follow (going to add another video here or somewhere talking to you), and I wouldn’t want to insult you on that. I value everything you have written here, so to attempt to disregard it is gross to me. Plus I understand that your god is the same as my non-god code … that says don’t harm the innocent, don’t hurt anyone not harming you or others. Use kindness and compassion in how you deal with everyone. The reason is again, as I wrote first … do treat others as you really wish they would treat you.

I can not imagine treating others as villains as they try to make everything work, Hugs and loves. Scottie
