1. See, and this has been making me wonder about something. Our batguano crazy state legislature has resisted Medicaid expansion for all these years, saying that as soon as they approved expansion, the federal government would take away their portion of the coverage and the state would be on the hook, destroying liberty forever. It’s been years, but so has Project 2025 been in the works for years; does that mean certain states’s legislatures have been in on this since the ACA? What did they know, and when did they know it? (Only a partially facetious question.)

   1. Hi Ali. The original republican hatred for the Medicaid expansion and the ACA was the fact it was done by Obama, a black guy they think shouldn’t ever have been allowed to be in the White House. The truth is this shows how horrible our for profit healthcare system is. People can’t change jobs because they fear losing healthcare for them or their families, people like me had to use a wheelchair for three years after I couldn’t walk anymore. As Bernie says the US is the only wealthy country to not give the people universal health care along with a lot of other benefits. All the US seems to be today is an oligarch driven country to drive all the countries great wealth to the upper income … the Uber wealthy while making everyone else poor and struggle to survive. 2. They’ve carefully set it all up to avoid blame and cause chaos in the states that did expand it…very few states actually call it ‘Medicaid’.

   And thi is the scope of the problem 20% of Americans get their healthcare through Medicaid, whether they know it or not.

   1. Hello Bruce. You are correct. Which makes the fact that the US the wealthiest country doesn’t do what much less wealthy countries do which is give universal or free healthcare to their public. Those countries don’t cater to billionaires like the US, they tax the wealthy … and against the rhetoric of the right those wealthy stay there and they also have companies there. We seriously need a total revolution in the US or we will be a heavily armed country with a salve worker population. Hugs
