Hi Bee. Yes I agree. I posted a meme on that. When people lose empathy to each other, then they fail to see others as they view themselves. They don’t connect the abuse happening to others in their name with themselves. Sadly that is where we are now. Please be safe. Hugs

Hi Bee. Yes these are dark days. The only bright shining light we have is each other. All of us allied against those that harm others for no good reason. Those of us standing arm in arm to help protect the most defenseless among us, feeding the most hungry, sheltering those with no other way for shelter. Bee we may lose but somehow no matter what I think we win the fight just be trying. Hugs

Hi Bee. I read an article on one of the fundamentalist Christian leaders like Tony Perkins or Ralph Reed, one of the Focus on Family types. They were so angry they lost the culture war on the gay rights and acceptance because they felt they did not try hard enough to convince everyone that just existing made gays a threat to children. That allowed the gay people to show others they were their families, their brothers / sisters, their doctors, lawyers, and friends. The determined that they had to move quicker and harder against trans people so they could muddy the waters and turn people’s perceptions against trans people before they could be accepted as normal people. Plus these Christians used a perverted version of freedom of religion to mean freedom of Christians to get to say what is acceptable in schools and public displays. These Christians are not shy about using violence to get what they want either. As for ICE and the policy on removing all the brown, black, and Latino people we have to realize what it truly is, white supremacy. These white people are terrified that they will lose their majority soon, so they want to whiten the country. Bring white racist into the country, remove all the non-white people even US citizens. I agree. I also start to think its white preparation for climate breakdown. If the “prosperous” countries are closed to brown, black etc people they believe they can survive the catastrophe they created. Its all connected in my opinion

Hi Bee. You are correct that the climate change is hurting the poorer countries with non-white populations. As populations of people can not grow crops or lose land to water rising they will flee to places that can. It is the same way people flee violence to go towards safety. But people like Stephen Miller and tRump along with the hoard of tRump followers feel white people are entitled higher beings and don’t see non-white people as fully human. The darker your skin the less human you are to these people. Hugs
