Hi Ten Bears. They sure did that. In the Roman days it was common for families especially wealthy ones to give their daughters to the different temples to discharge their religious obligations. As I understand it poor people had to give up sons to some temples not just their daughters because they couldn’t afford the temple taxes. Hugs
