  1. Oh, Ali, I enjoy editorial cartoons as much as any of our siblings, but these are way too many and way too overwhelming. Oh my goodness! Too many depressing messages told in clever colorful ways.

But, keep up the good work! Seriously, I enjoy the clearinghouse of cartoons and other worthy articles. Do keep up the good work.

    1. Well, these toon/meme pages are Scottie’s work. He runs across so many that make statements he shares, and he wants to make sure we all see them, too. It is definitely an opus, and he does it every day!

I’m happy to see you here, Jack! Scottie, Randy, and I do hope & try to make it a place with enough variety to keep people coming back for what they need. Your encouragement is appreciated!💖

      1. Hi Ali. Well said thank you. The fact is the site has so much more diversity and content since you and Randy started adding your stuff here. I love it. There is stuff for many different interests now. When I get the rare chance to see what others post I am always amazed with how grand it is. On the amount of stuff and the length of the posts. Thank you for understanding and championing my work on these posts. It can take anywhere from most of my day when I am not well to 3 hours when I am feeling OK. I have paired the number of source pages down from 78 to 56. Mostly because some wouldn’t display for people in some countries. And I can’t control the things that are topical that the cartoonist write their cartoons on. But I feel the different subjects are super important to make sure people can quickly see. The things with cartoons / memes / and bits of news is that people can view them as fast or slow as they want but they get the ones they wish / need to see. I feel if I have a number I cut it off at then the rest that is not posted / show is stuff people who don’t see these websites will never see or maybe never think of. Plus with my horrible eyesight and my struggles it is often so much easier for me to deal with the cartoons / memes / and short posts I repost than it is to read an article then do the work of posting it. And as you see from the date of this post and my reply I was out of commission / sick / too depressed to do much more than these posts. Hopefully I can catch up and do better in the future. Hugs.

    2. Hi Jack. I am very glad to see you here. I still have the link to your blog but sadly my ability to be online and go to others blogs has gotten severely restricted. Due to my decline along with the love I have for what Ali and Randy post in comments and personal talks I asked them both to become authors here. It was the best thing I ever did for the blog, both of them have the grandest posts. I regret I rarely have been able to read their posts the last few months. Thank you for reading these posts as they mean a lot to me and take most of my energy to do. I regret this one depressed you. I hope some I have posted since have been more uplifting as I understand very well how constant negative news can harm a person’s emotional state. Sadly the news is what it is, right. Below is part of what I wrote to Ali.

      1. Howdy Scottie!

I understand about the struggle to post around health, time, and energy issues. I thought when I retired, I’d have lots of time to do all sorts of things, but alas and alack, I do not. It seems between my physical and mental health, the house, La Petite Fille’s needs, and the various bureaucracies I have to deal with, almost all of my time is taken.

One of the things I had looked forward to most was visiting the blogs of others — the blogging world is really the best social media around — but that hasn’t happened either.

I really appreciate your blog, especially the cartoon round up. I’ve always loved editorial cartoons. You’re right about a quick succinct depiction of an issue.

We can only hope that the times improve and do what we can to lift those around us up.

        Huzzah!

        1. Hi Jack. Thank you. I am sorry you are also struggling. I am glad you enjoy the cartoon / meme roundups, it is why I do them even when I am struggling. I really enjoy them also. Please feel free to keep in touch and to add your voice here. Let us know in the comments how you are doing or share how things are for you. I am trying hard to be more responsive to the comments now that I have climbed out of the emotional vortex that claims me sometimes. And I care about people, especially those that come to view what is posted here. I wish you the very best, the most strength, and all the happiness. Hugs
