Lauren Boebert accused of doing very UNETHICAL things…

Rev. Trevors addresses the misconception that Christians are called to tell people how to live.  He voices that Christians should live as Christ wants but they are not directed to tell others how to live.  Hugs

  1. Lauren Boebert made her bad mark with me by suggesting, on stage that had Jesus had a gun he wouldn’t have been crucified .
Since Christ was sent to this world to die for our sins for her to make such a stupid suggestion flies in the ethos of belief and any true Christian would be highly critical that any person who considers themselves a Christian would make such an offensive remark.
Another example of another extremist making offensive remarks that should have ruined their career and getting away with it. Hypocrisy just doesn’t begin to cover it.

    Take care guys.

    1. Hi Roger. Yes sadly far too many people especailly elected leaders and religious leaders use the bible / religous holy scriptures to push their own wants / needs / predjudices. I have seen churches hold gun services here in the US claiming the old testament god wanted strong home defenders. Far too many think that being a Christian is following the Old Testiment / the Torah and the writings of the different authors of the New Testiment. I disagree and I think that Rev. Ed Trevors does also. I think being a Christian means you are a follower of the Christ in the bible. Not every author of every word of the bible some that are mistranslated or lost meanings, but the words and deeds spoken and done by Jesus. I do believe the country and the faith would both be so much better and improved by following Jesus rather than Paul and all the others in the bible. I call those people who put the bible over the words of Jesus biblicians not Christians. Also I find those claiming to be superior Christians better than other people are often far from either. I always felt that a personal code of how to live your life is for you not something that you can force on or impose on others. That is the same as a religious code of how to live your life. Just as Rev. Ed Trevors said in the video. Hugs

      1. And you Scottie have a far better idea of the true message of Jesus than any number of those who use selective texts from the Bible to further their own greeds, prejudices and hates.

        God is with you.

        1. Hi Roger. I want to thank you for that as it is a grand compliment. But I am not sure if I deserve what you credit me for. While I know basicly what the Jesus of the bible was said to have said and done by reading the red highlighed parts of the King James version and by listening to Rev. Ed Trevors, Dan McClellan, Aron Ra and others, the stuff I learned in the time I was a boy in the Christian / SDA church doesn’t all ways match what I believe and I don’t practice what was forced preached to me. Sadly I don’t remember much of church lessons when I was younger like 7 and 8 because the pastor as more interested in my body than talking to me. My adopting parents were OK with that.

After I graduated from the Christian boarding school the church elder who paid for all that sat me down and told me he would pay for me to go to the semeiary to become a leader in their faith. But as an adult I now had to make sure anything in my behavior conformed to the church teachings something until then I had only loosely been held to.

I believed then in the message of the Christ. I would have gladly promoted it. I had made a promise to myself to live by those words and deeds as best I could. But I also had by then at 18 realized and made peace with the fact I was gay. Something the SDA church was very much against in the early 1980s. I knew from my abuse that sex was important to me and I wouldn’t be able to not have it so I respectfully declined the offer of further schooling and went into the military. Because I had been sexualized and used starting at 3 years old sex was very important to me and something I always desired. However I also promised my self it would be with adults and consentual never what I went through.

Have I lived up to my goal of being the best person I could? I am not the judge. My husband thinks so. I did personal care for the adopting male as he was dying and for two weeks I cleaned and cared for him, holding the very organ he used to hurt me as he needed to pee as I held him up, constantly remembering the many ways he used that organ against me and the urine that came out of it. I cleaned the anus after he pooped that he made me as a child clean with my tongue and mouth. It tore me apart. But I did it. I did not take revenge; I cared for him as I was trained as a medical professional.

I did not have to give the same personal body care to my adopting adult female, as after the adoptive male Ron noticed how it affected me emotionally and I started to tell him about my childhood. So about five years after I cared for the adopted adult male Ron refused to have me do the same for the adopting adult female. Instead he had her turned over entirely to hospice care, first at home and then in the hospice house until she passed.

Many of my fellow survivors on the Male Survivor website claim they don’t know how I did that saying they couldn’t. I tell them I felt I had to. Roger they don’t understand. I vowed to myself after I left their control never to be like them. Never to do to others what they did. Never to be petty, never to try to get an advantage over everyone else. They would go to the local flea market and demand money off something that only cost 25 cents because they had to have that bit of “I got over on you” feeling. They abused everyone they could if they thought they could and hated anyone they couldn’t take advantage of. They were violent, abusive, and cared only about their feelings and themselves.

I promised myself I wouldn’t be like them, not in anyway. It was not easy Roger and at first I often failed. But when I met Ron things changed. He showed me a different world. A world where family loved each other and cared for each other. At their mother’s table no one yelled or threw things. I learned to control my temper or leave the situation if I couldn’t. I tried so hard to be the person Ron thought I could be. Eventally I became that person. I always hated that there were people mistreated or abused and when I got my first blog in 2007 I made a point to stand up for them. I did not have anyone to stand up for me until Ron so now I understand how important it was to stand up for others.

Sorry this got so long. My journey to be the person I am today was also long. My last time being abused / raped was when I was 23 in my hellspan siblings semi for four days. I have had a lot to work through. Some times I felt it might destroy me. I am now 63 and in bad health.

As do I have a better understanding of Jesus of the bible message. I don’t know. If you ask the evangelical preachers, the hate preachers, or the republican right then no I don’t. I am in my life evil to them. But I would really like to think I am trying to and live that life Jesus showed in word and deed. I don’t believe in heaven or hell so it is not out of wanting a reward or a fear of punishment. I have had both. I want to do so because that means I am doing the vow I took in my 20s. I vowed to try to be a better Scottie today than I was yesterday. I understood and still do how hard that is, I knew the mistakes I made the day before, could I keep from doing them again today?

Anyway thank you Roger for giving me a chance to express this. I don’t often talk about that part of my journey through life, I think codes to live by are personal unless someone askes you for your ways. You provided that by your comment. I feel everyone has a personal code of conduct they live by. But that code is for them and not to be forced on others. That is why I get so upset with those religious people of all faiths that demand everyone live by their church / faith doctrines regardless of how the other person feels or believes. Best wishes to you and Sheila. Hugs

          1. Sorry I took so long to reply Scottie. We had our first visit from our little great-granddaughter (three years old) and she was a little power house, then as little ones do, she came down with a cold that had been hanging back and had to be fussed because she was poorly. Then she got better again and was back to being busy (ish).
It was a lovely visit though.

            Anyway.
I’ll stand by evaluation of your Scottie. You have had to live a very long hard road, having your childhood stolen away and then find a away to repair the damage while coming out a generous and compassionate despite we must add the health issues you suffer with. That takes courage.

While you and Ron have developed something which is truly beautiful in the devotion and love your share.
You Scottie are quite entitled to express all of what you have experienced, and correct in how you view others codes. Particularly as those codes often do not reflect the basic facets of the Belief system which the codifiers would impose.
I have said this before it bears repeating without Compassion, Respect and Tolerance whatever a person claims to believe in; that’s shallow.
Those three though are never easier to constantly embrace we all give way at times and we then have to get back ‘on board’ and start again. Never giving up.
I am sorry that these times are still tough for you Scottie both physically and with your memories. I see a strength there though that again despite all you keep on as best you can.

Take care you and Ron. Our best wishes to you both.

            Roger and Sheila 🙏🌈
