    1. Hi Ten Bears. Sure were either way you look at it. Angels are not earth born residents so aliens also they could have been extraterrestrial l from another world ones that the humans at the time could only conceive of as angels. I just hate how the story has been misused as a cudgel against gay people when the bible even states it is over hospitality. I read a book series by Jim Butcher called The Dresden Files. It is based in a world where the supernatural exists but humans don’t see it or notice unless they are forced to. The main character is a human wizard outcast who fights for humans which his wizard kind is to do but the rest most often not in a way that helps individual people. The point constantly pushed by the author is the concept of hospitality. Even if mortal enemies meet in a circumstance of a hospitality situation they must not act negatively towards each other. In a situation where you are invited into an other’s home under hospitality you can not do anything that would cause disgrace or harm to the host but the host has responsibilities towards all in his home including protection and sustenance of food and drink. I see the story of Sodom and Gomhora the same, the hospitality rules were in effect and yet the men of Sodom wanted to humiliate the “angels by making them submissive by penetrating them”.

      Now as a kid I often felt that way when that happened, that I was humiliated because I was overwhelmed or had no choice. A 7 year old can’t stop teenage boys no matter what he does. Especially if it had been happening since he was 3 yrs old. But as an adult male who gets to make the choice and having things my way I can say under those situations it is not in any way humiliating but seriously empowering. Not only does it feel good but I get to control the entire experience and how it will go.

      But I have learned from this scholar and another that the status of a man was of premium importance back then and in those times if you were the partner that had a penis inserted into you then you lost all status and your man card. You were at the same level of a woman to them. Sad they felt that way towards women but … you know I think the current administration of backward assholes feel the same way about it all as the males in the bible during this time. Shitheads. They feel that men no matter what or how they are no matter how horrible or shitty are superior because their sex part dangles … and for most of them not very far. Hugs

    1. Hi Ali. Very true. Those men would be the republicans of our government today. Please read and if you feel like it give me your thoughts to what I replied to Ten Bears. I have my eye surgery tomorrow and don’t know if when it is done I will be able to see to write on the computer. I need my glasses to do so but my left eye that will be fixed won’t be able to use my glasses, so …. we plan to stop at the drug story to get a reader set of glasses if I need them. Hugs
