You are what you are, from birth. Changing one’s internal identity (which is what it is, after all) would really play havoc with what most of you believes is you, no matter what gender. I think people should be allowed to be who they feel they are, not hide it under a stifling mask. What would be far more helpful would be a way to encourage kids (and their families) to be who they are, openly and carefully.
Among straight people the range of expression of who we are is immense, from the pistol packin’ mama to the floaty soft- voiced dolly sort of woman. Why not just incorporate LGBTQ into it as well…

Hi Judy. Well said. I agree. I am not sure what drives the hate some people have towards the LGBTQ+ community. Some say it is religious bias, some say it is that straight cis people who don’t understand it so feel it is icky. But some people make it their entire lives work to harm and erase the LGBTQ+ people. They just want them gone as if it was a personal insult to them. Hugs
