Intriguing. The complex relationships between one species and another.
Thanks Ali

That’s what inspires me to post these here, Roger.
(Well, plus I simply love birds. But part of that is because of the relationships.)

Agreed Ali.
There is so much that is intriguing out there, a rich and wonderous series of dynamics.
I’ll try and keep an eye out for future ones.
Thanks

If it helps, I set these up to post on Saturday mornings. I receive the newsletters each Friday evening. Thanks, Roger! We need all our species on the planet. I love birds because they have the best attitude about life. They just keep on keeping on!

That they do:

And they all have their own ‘bird-alities’ too.
This August a housemartin’s nest attached to other house collapsed while the parents were away depositing three very unhappy adolescents onto our lawn.
We took them to a specialised rescue centre. One was for getting out of the box and fluttering down to the floor, another for peeking out, while a third huddled in a corner in a ‘I want my Mom’ pose.
They all survived and took off for the Winter in North Africa…. We wished them a safe journey and to meet up with their parents.
