BAD BAD – a Parody | Freedom Toast & Cinebot Video
So I did a thing a few days ago,
I do it now and then, hadn’t in a while but really liked one so I did it but didn’t turn it in. (It’ll become clear.) Then I got a bunch of GOTV postcards done, and there it was, at the bottom of that stack. It so happened that another came along that I really liked (this one below,) so I added it, then submitted it. It got posted today, and even though it’s really not at all good, it’s funny, it was fun, and I thought I’d share. I’ve sent in several over the past year; dotted amongst the posts. The best one was of two dogs discussing a thing; a similar scenario as below, but not exactly the same. And I might try this one, too. I can draw fish. Anyway, here is this.

It’s Two-for-Tuesday, and that means for the second day in a row, we’re graced with an Ali Redford original. Today she tries her hand at eight nine one:
It’s simple, it’s bleak — I love it. And I love what a great contrast it makes with Margreet de Heer’s version from last week. Margreet, of course, is one of the world’s great cartoonists; Ali is a writer like me (though she does draw better than I do). It’s fascinating to see what the same cartoon looks like filtered through two very different brains.
Margreet’s doomed souls strained helplessly to pull the lever. Ali’s sufferer merely looks at it, puzzled. It’s the same set-up, the same pieces of furniture, but the joke is very different. This is the beauty of collaboration.
Thanks, Ali (and Margreet again). It’s great.

So now you know I thing I do when I’m not writing postcards or congresscritters, or cleaning house, or walking Corky, and so forth. Once in a while, I “draw”, sometimes even manage to really draw a cartoon based on a professional writer’s scene.
Totally Off Topic, But It Could Be Fun (I think it’s fun)
One day back in early summer, I searched to see if that’s a real song that plays on the Allegra commercial with the young woman coming out with headphones belting it out. The first entry on my search page brought this blog, so I checked it out. I read a few entries, and subscribed, since it’s on WP. I’ve enjoyed what I read. I got this last night, and thought I’d share, in case someone would like to check it out sometime and enjoy some commentary on TV commercials.
(PS just in case: they named the song in the blog entry, so after I read on the blog, I went to YouTube to check the song. It is a real song.)
Last Kiss Presents-
I’m pretty sure it’s no secret, nor a surprise, that I read comics (considering I post several here.) I started reading Last Kiss on GoComics, and one day I had a little time so I went to the artist/author’s page, then went to his blog. I signed up for emails, even, though I read at GoComics most days in the week. Anyway, this one was in yesterday’s email. I thought of getting it and posting it, but I’m a little crunched with writing the GOTV postcards, and I didn’t get it done. I read the email again today, and decided Scottie’s is a good place for this one. I think everyone would enjoy these; they’re quirky but I haven’t seen a rude one yet.

Fully recovered from the effects of my multi-vacs, I took Corky out on a nice, long walk while it was cool in the morning on Thursday. Of course there were numerous species of pollen blowing around, but I was bulletproof because I use Allegra . Anyway, my sinuses have been protesting since then, but that’s a thing I’ve always had, anyway, so it is what it is. Corky was quite happy, and is looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. Yes, she told me so. (She didn’t. I just know. She’ll go on a walk any time, anywhere, no matter what else she may be doing.)
I went to the store to stock back up today, and I found a thing. It was an irresistible thing, and I love it, so I bought it. She’s a she, and her name is Millie. That’s her up above. Closer to the season, I’ll put her in the front window, but right now, we’re enjoying her in our front room. She seems to enjoy being photographed.
It’s been one heck of a week. A debate that was almost fun, some stochastic terrorism agged on and on and yet further on by Maga, and good news, too, some of which got posted. I had a few other things up to post, but the puter thought it was too hot, shut down, and lost my tabs (at least one of which must have been too busy. Time for maintenance on the puter, probably.) Anyway, I’ve got a few posts up anyway, and whatever I didn’t will either come around again, or be way outdated when I recall what they were. My apologies, but get a look at Millie, why don’t ya? 😀🦴💀
