Kennedy, a longtime vaccine skeptic, ousted the 17-member Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) earlier this week in a stunning move that shocked medical experts. He defended his action in an interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum, claiming that “97% of the people on the committee had conflicts of interest.”
He repeated falsehoods about vaccines that were immediately fact checked by doctors on social media platform X. He falsely claimed there were between 69 and 92 mandatory vaccines in the U.S. today and that most of the vaccines, excluding the COVID-19 vaccine, had not gone through safety tests.
“So nobody has any idea what the risk profiles are on these products, and we don’t know whether they have anything to do with the epidemic of chronic disease,” Kennedy said, presenting no evidence for his claims.

The scary part? the people who believe him, refuse/reject/protect their children from/vaccines, and guess what, we’re off and running again. Yes, you can get Covid even if you’ve been vaccinated, but (and correct me if I’m wrong) the symptoms are milder, and you might just survive… We both got our shots, but we continued to wear the masks, and behaved in public. Some people just do not respond to the shots, in the same way that some people who had the polio vaccines still got polio. It’s a crap shoot, but in a more positive way.

Hi Judy. You are correct. With the vaccines not only is getting the virus less harmful but it also prevents mass mutation of the virus which happens when quickly passed around unprotected people. I worry about the “dumbing down” of the US. The idea that for 100’s of years parents fought to get decent educations for their children was turned on its head in the 1980s. The attack on education came from two sides. The wealthy wanted the poor communities to not have good schools and so starved the education systems for the public of money to operate while they sent their kids to private schools they could afford. Then the fundamentalist Christians decided that science undermined their ability to get people into the churches which meant fewer donations for the church and fewer tithes. I remember an interview with one family with five kids and they only taught their kids the bible as god was coming soon to take them all to heaven. Kids as old as teenagers would hardly read and couldn’t do any other subject. But they had memoried the King James Bible. That was back in 2000 I saw that. It is so much worse today. When we were helping a teen boy who lived in our park who had an abusive home life he was church schooled. Every day after school he came to our home and we went on the internet and showed him how what they were telling him was the true history of the US was all lies and distortions. Same with science and other subjects. Well here we are where 40% of the country rejects science completely. Many practice the Dunning-Kruger effect to the max. And the Christians on the Supreme Court just rejected well researched medical science because it did not align with their church teachings / doctrines about trans people. Sad how far the country has fallen since the 1950 to the 1970s when we put people on the moon and developed the world’s leading technology. Hugs
