Fox Host Goes Full PSYCHO

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade apologized Sunday for his “extremely callous” remark suggesting mentally ill homeless people should be executed.

  1. So Faux News asshat says “give them involuntary lethal injections. Just kill ’em.” And he make a faux apology, keeps his job, and continues his career of hate mongering at the news (sic,) station?

While anyone who leans a bit left gets fired, blacklisted, muckraked, for bringing to light the things Charlie Puke-Bucket actually said?

    Got it.

    1. Hi Shell Digger. Yes it seems that there are different standards for different groups. If you are tRump, a member of tRump’s admin, or a social media person championing everything tRump spews then you can do/ say no wrong. If on the other hand you are on the left or gods forbid a democrat and even look sideways at a favored person on the right then you are clearly a terrorist. This is clearly the way the world is. Any simpleton or in the case of our president any moron can see that. …. Thank you for letting me relieve some steam. But

Shell digger is you have a few minutes. A few months ago our check engine light came on as Ron was taking it to the ford dealership to have minor maintenance done. It is 7 years old and has less than 70,000 miles on it. They said it needed a 10 grand new engine.

You and others told me to have it looked at by someone one else which we did. They just changed the fouled spark plug and the car ran great for a few more months. Until. Make dramatic shark attack sounds here.

A month ago the car started to shutter when we would accelerate. The few times it happened easing up on the accelerator would make it stop. We were waiting until this week when Ron would be paid to have it checked out. However last Thursday as I was coming home as I pulled in to the left lane and started to accelerate the car started to buck and all the dashboard lights came on. Everything shut down. I was able to pull back into the right lane and coast to a nearby side street where I stopped. The car refused to start.

We had the car towed home where a driveway mechanic came to look at it. We have used him before and trust him. He said that he thought the drive chain broke and that the engine seized. So as that car model requires a car life to do much with the engine as they have to unhook stuff and then lift the body of the car off the engine he couldn’t help us.

We contacted a place just down the road and they said yes for $200 they would look at it and that they could put in a new engine would be 4 grand and up. They up to be determined later. Ron went to another place and they said what everyone was telling us was just best guesses and hope for money. Until they actually looked at the engine they couldn’t say what the issue was. This place said have it towed to us and for $120 we will diagnosis it. If possible they may be able to do a value job or other engine stuff I did not understand that wouldn’t require a new engine. They seemed much more reasonable and a lot less to go for the just let’s replace the engine.

As you may have guessed I am clueless at this stuff. I used to change and rotate my own tires and when I was 24 changed the oil in my motorcycle. Other than that I am totally in over my head. So being a grand backyard mechanic yourself please let me know what you think. How screwed are we with a 2018 Ford Escape titanium with less than 70 grand in mileage with possibly needing a new engine. Several friends have asked if we could trade it and get a good deal on a new car. But we would rather not have new payments in the tRump economy. Thanks and hugs

      1. I’m afraid from where I’m sitting all I could offer is a guess myself. All you can do is start ruling out possibilities. Will the car crank and run at all, as it sits right now?

Is it a, will crank (turn over,) but won’t run situation? Or an, it cranks, starts, and then dies situation?

Or, will it crank and run fine for a while, then act up?

I can say without much doubt at all, is you should not need a new engine with 70k on the odometer.

Unfortunately it’s a “you got to trust somebody with a good mechanical history,” to start ruling out possibilities. When you can rule things out, it eventually points you in a good direction. Knowing what is working will tell you a lot, and help you figure out what ain’t.

I’ll do what I can from here, if you will answer the questions.

        1. Hi Shell Digger. I have more information and the way it was delivered makes me sure it is correct. We had the car towed to a garage / car repair business about five miles away. The owner talked to Ron when we had it taken there and told Ron to let him assess the situation before making a guess. I like that. Then the next morning Ron talked to him and he said yes the engine was seized and that it would need to be replaced. He told Ron that a new engine would be very hard to get due to tRump’s tariff wars. The engine is made in Mexico and with the tariffs it has jumped way up in price. In fact Ford had shut that model line down. But he found an engine for it that had only 5 grand on it that caused the car to be totaled out but the engine was still unharmed. The cost for the used engine was $2000.00.

So Ron told them to go ahead and get the engine. Today he gave the guy the money for the engine. What is totally interesting is why it seized. Ron sort of blamed me as I drive aggressively. But the guy has told him twice now that did not cause the problem.

But what the guy said did or might have caused the engine to seize was that it overheated. Ron told him that the fan relay had been acting up and not shutting off running the battery down but that it had not happened in a while. He told Ron that was because the fan was not running, and the car was being cooled by air flow and that under acceleration the engine overheated causing it to shutter and seize.

The entire repair will cost us about 4 grand. We paid half already. Ron likes the guy and trusts the garage. He even met the man who will be doing the work. So that is what I know, which is not much. As always I would love your thoughts. Best wishes and hugs.
