    1. Hi Roger. It is a despicable tactic. However it is mostly used by those who don’t care how much they harm others to get what they want. Sadly more and more people in the Republican Party are like that now. This time the republicans want to phrase the situation as the democrats shut the government down. But that is not true. The republicans control all three branches of the government and they have the ability to change the rules to pass what they want with just their members. They did it a few weeks ago to approve more tRump nominees. But it is the people who suffer as you say. Some are required to work without pay, some are without work, and yet the congress people still get their pay regardless if the government is open or shut down. Hugs

      1. As I wrote earlier(?). There will be a a reckoning. There will be a price to pay and the current Republican crew will pay it. Maybe not directly, but by degrees of separation to those who they who dear or know.
        Retribution is unavoidable, and most of the time those who are due to receive it do not see it coming.
