The Doctors On The Frontline Of Israel’s Genocide In Gaza

  1. From what I’ve seen directly over the past five years, we are coming unglued, medically, at least in smaller cities and states. Our local hospital was taken over by AppleDore, the most inept and useless set of caregivers I have ever seen. My so called doctor doesn’t even own a stethoscope, and my last physical with him lasted ten minutes. He asked me about the book I was reading, told me I should really take Crestor (not a chance) and what did I do for exercise. Ten minutes.

    1. Yeah, corporate primary care providers are definitely overworked, and I know they are timed and also recorded. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wear GPS trackers, the way UPS was (still?) making their drivers wear GPS tracking.

We had a nice family practice over in the next town (there was more than one; not sure though by now. Anyway.) I found them back when I needed an OB-GYN, then we as a family saw his brother for years, then all their family retired but the OB-GYN (and he was such a good doctor, with wonderful assistants and nurses! The whole group was like that.) So, eventually, the practice was bought by a care company here in KS. You could tell the difference; many services were no longer offered, but a person could still go in, get all their annual stuff done, and get out before lunch. Then the company needed to cut back expenses, so they closed that office, and merged it with the office in a town yet farther East and South. Then we saw what you report above. It was exactly like that. I’m thinking that had we found another group, they might have caught DH’s ALL earlier, because this guy really dithered with it-probably he had no time-before it came to him that it was not an infection.

Judy, I hope you can find a doctor you can use, if you’re unhappy. I decided to find a new one in town here, and it’s been great. She seems as if she has plenty of time if I need to tell her something, she doesn’t talk down to people, but she’s all business when a person needs to buckle down on something. She may end up getting me to actually swallow a pill, after over 60 years of being unable to!

Well , that turned into a book. I’m sorry, and you have my best wishes for the care you want.

      1. Hi Ali. Please never worry how long your replies to people are including me. I often find your comments most illuminating and showing the facts on a subject. I am sure Judy got more out of the reply than I did. But I only wish I could reply to both of you at the same time as you are talking about something so important to me, our healthcare / doctors / and the system we have for medical care. It just shows how much we need what over 20 other countries have, a single payer medial care system for the public of that country. Hugs.

        1. Scottie, you can reply to both me and anyone else if you’re going to reply to me along with anyone. Back when you added me, you asked me to be sure to check comments so no one is ignored, so I’ll see your reply even if it’s to someone else. No worries!

We here all agree, I believe, that a national health system paid for by our taxes and run similarly to other countries’s systems, is the way to go. It’s like your meme says: it’s as if we’ve just invented the wheel while everyone else has jetpacks (or something like that!)

          1. Hi Ali. Yes you get notified, but only you. If it is a chain the others in the chain don’t get the notification of the reply. When I said I wished I could reply to one and everyone see it I meant the notification of a reply or comment.

Yes there is two ways we could do the national health system in my opinion. Medicare for all and expanding the VA and fully fund it. Hugs

            1. Well, see, here’s where I use too many words! I meant, reply to Judy (or whoever,) and include me in that, and I’ll see it. Like, Judy first, then “Ali,”… . I should have said that yesterday, but was a bit scattered.

              1. Hi Ali. Ah now I understand what you meant, you will see it. Ok it works for you. But that won’t work for others as they don’t have that choice unless they keep coming back to check the post. But I do understand what you are saying, you will see it if I reply to others. Hugs

    2. Hi Judy. As I replied to Ali, we need a single payer government run system like over 20 nations have for countries of our wealth. I hate what is happening to the lower income / poor places in the US as small clinics / hospitals are being forced to close due to lack of funds. The US needs much better and more inclusive health coverage. Hugs
