Hi Scottie. I’ve been watching this whole thing unfold, like many of us, absolutely horrified by the shooting. Jen Psaki put forth a great analysis of a very difficult issue and really did what we need to do when something like this happens: get all the information, understand what really happened, then draw opinions – rather than do what our government did and presume that the one to blame was the victim. (and wow does this underscore the need for citizens to have cameras)
To a certain extent, again like most of us, I agree that there is a an unfortunate need for population/immigration controls, and that is the real issue because I have real boundaries – again like most rational people – of what is an acceptable methodology. For example, I believe in the requirement for one’s civil rights to be respected. I know, go figure – expecting the government to obey the law. When it comes right down to it, this administration has made a practice of being abusive and terrorizing the country. That is an explosive statement that is sure to get kick back, but it’s also very true. Be it in their political run “they’re eating the dogs” to destroying the careers of soldiers because they don’t like their personal decisions, destroying the careers of government workers because they could, abusing reporters for asking questions, creating chaos and opportunities for violence by their use and misuse of the military and ICE, pardoning those they think wealthy enough or useful enough, prosecuting others for political reasons…. it’s all abuse.
which leads me to a question: who do you call when the government administration is performing domestic terrorism, the supreme court is rubber stamping anything that clown does, and the congress is neutered in every sense of the word? I am so looking forward to replacing these people at the next new election. Sure hope we have one again.

Hi Randy. I am listening to the Sunday news shows and Tom Homan along with others are over the top on what they are accusing the left but then turn around to say the left needs to tone down what they are saying because it is inflaming the situation. Again the government and republican leaders are calling the left extremest leftist, domestic terrorists, and supporters of criminals of the worst stripes. At the same time that Homan was saying that Good aimed her 4,000 car at the ICE thug because she was an extreme leftest domestic terrorist with the goal of harming peaceful officers. Totally crazy. But it is the left that is out of line in rhetoric. But after he got done saying how everything was the fault of the criminal left he was asked about the FBI sting in which they gave him a bag of $50,000 in cash for him doing favors in the administration. He got real circumspect in who was a criminal denying things left and right while claiming it was all a smear job by the left. He is just like the rest of the tRump gang, unable to say a bad word about the right or the tRump administration but blame the left for every evil under the sun most of which they have never been accused of before or found guilty of.
Anyway what is happening with ICE and snatching people off the streets doing nothing wrong or taking people here legally or in their asylum hearings has nothing to do with securing a countries borders or immigration laws. I have posted how it is entirely driven by Stephen Miller and his hate for Spanish / brown people he was forced to go to school with. He is desperate for a white ethnostate where everyone speaks an English he can understand. Legal claims of asylum and people escaping the chaos caused by the US in the central Americas due to US actions in those countries deserve the right to ask to come into the country. Every statistic shows that immigrants documented or not do less crime than native born and add billions to the ecomony including to social safety nets they will never get to use. The Haitians in Ohio and the Somalis in Minnesota are credited with turning around the economy of those places they settled in. Same with the Muslims who founded a town in upper NY state who have been repeatedly harassed and attacked by Christian nationalists.
But you asked a question as to what to call a government that acts like the US government under tRump? A government that is comparable to Putin’s in Russia, Orban’s in Hungary, Erdoğan’s in Turkey, and that is led by someone who praises Xi in China along with Kim Jong Un in North Korea saying they are brave strong leaders who control their country’s with complete control? I call them a fascist dictatorship run by a tyrant in the favor of the oligarchy. Hugs
