Maggie Haberman & Jonathan Swan – On “Regime Change” & Inside The Trump Presidency | The Daily Show

New York Times reporters and authors of the new book “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump,” Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, sit down with Jon Stewart to discuss the surprising revelations they uncovered about the Trump administration, like the president being absent from the room when his own team discussed the Epstein files, as well as the motivation behind controversial moves like the tariff policy rollout and the Iran war. They also speak to how Trump controls the terms when reporters reach him on his cell phone and compare his first term to his second, which they describe as a story of hubris, built on gut feelings and belief from his cabinet that he is someone of destiny – because who else can survive four indictments and two assassination attempts to win the presidency a second time?

  1. You know? F them; they’re profiting from a book about things that hurt the public instead of having used their platform to inform people well before now. And I’m not really happy about those who boost self-described journalists/reporters who do that. They allowed Iran/Contra, Grenada, an actually unelected president, invading Afghanistan and Iraq, and all the other bad things that have come since. They ought to have been met with tar and feathers rather than a comfy set with Jon Stewart. JMO.

    1. Hi Ali. I strongly disagree. Have you seen any interviews with them? I don’t know what other books they have written, but these two are not like the ones that waited four years from the start of tRump’s first term. I have listened to about 10 interviews with them. The information they have is valuable and they went public with it as soon as they got the book written. It did take over a year to get the information. I wouldn’t expect them to go public with it before they they had all they could get. I would recommend you go to your own trusted news source and see what they found out. I have been watching them on MS Now but no matter where you get the news the information they have is very important to help understand what the president is doing, how he is doing it, and why he is doing it. It is our country he is play acting with, it is important to know what and why. Hugs

    1. Hi M. I do also. I have been watching the interviews with them on MS Now. They have a lot of information. Ron and I have library cards and the local library lets us borrow books digitally from home so I will read it when the library has it. Hugs
