Hi Roger. He is a biblical scholar so some times he is hard for me to follow. This one was cut and dried clear easy to understand and follow. How the majority of the jewish population thinks what is happening is desreved, fine in is continuing, and that they want a complete Palestinian genocide knowing what was done to them I will not understand. I heard a jewish person say it was rarely reported in Israel but surely they have other sources of information. That they allowed an open air prison with no freedoms or rights for the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank is why they were attached. There is no justification for what Israel was doing and has done. It turns out Hanas negotiators were sending warnings to Bibi that they needed to be serious about the negotiations or there would be a major attack. He ignored them. Just as Bibi was slow walking and delaying the negotiations even though Hamas was offering to return every hostage. I am listening to a clip of Bibi’s UN speech and he is bragging about destroying lives with exsploding beepers rather than negotiating in good faith or being a decent neighbor. What’s going on here Scottie is part of the cycle of Tragedy and Horror that Humanity frequently indulges in.
It would be difficult to find one nation, one people that hasn’t blood on its hands from this kind of persecution. It doesn’t seem to matter that they had the same thing visited upon them; there will always be a mindset ‘that to make sure it doesn’t happen again we must do it to someone else,’
And it never works out the way they want it to either.
Unless, unless, unless…
This Israel is digging its own grave. Somewhere down the long road destruction awaits and it will be very, very ugly.
No one will win, either.

Hi Roger. While we wait for Israel to get what they deserve the Palestinians are dying and losing all they have to Jewish people who want it. What can not understand is why people around the world can not see how the people of Israel are acting like thieves and criminals stealing what others have simply because they want it and feel entitled to it. It is not the way decent people act or behave. I was never anti jewish but when I see the population of Israel cheering what is being done to the Palestinians I have a very deep dislike for the people doing that. I can not find any justification for what they are doing. I think we need to do everything possible to make them stop. Just with South Africa we need to boycott them; we must stop any travel to or from, we must block any investment in Israel, and we must stop all government and financial support for Israel. The nation must be cut off entirely from the rest of the world. And make them responsible for their actions. Right now they attack their neighbors because the nation of Israel is protected by the US and our military. We must pull that protection and let Israel be struck by the people they are attacking. Watch how fast they will change their tune and start working with their neighbors instead of stealing their lands. Yes I am now very much against israel and I am an anti-zionist. Hugs

In this unhappy world Scottie, Israel are ‘The Poster Boys’ for what is taking place in many parts.
Sudan, South Sudan, The Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Eritrea and Tigray -locked into hellish side changing wars), Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran (long before Trump blundered in there), Myanmar, Mali, China- there may be 50 or 60 in which ethnicity is the driving force. Some as relatively small, but not if you are affected. Some are so low key as to be ‘regrettable incidents of racism’ but would explode if allowed to.
The lack of reporting and attention allows the Israeli government and its extremists to fester by saying to the rest ‘Look the world is not caring about……’ and then cite whichever ones they chose.
Israel can always play that card. And what does not help are the folk who turn their frustrations on Jews outside of Israel which again the Israeli propaganda machine can use to their advantage.
And until there is a world wide effort to stifle this, Israel and its supporters can and will continue to play their cards.
It’s deplorable Scottie, but that’s how it’s done, every time.

Hi Roger. Thank you. I knew the news I get in my feeds is US centered and filtered. You often bring up places and topics I did not get the news of or knew about. The US population including me are clueless over much of what you mentioned. My time right now is 15:18 and I am so tired and in so much pain. I just told Ron I was thinking of going to bed. Roger I struggle to function these days. For supper I had a few crackers with cheese slices and a yogurt, followed by a nutritional drink.
My country’s government under RFK jr who was a heroin addict is forcing my pain doctors to reduce my pain medications. I wish I could do more, be more informed. But I am not sure how. Maybe I should start watching the news from your country? Do you have news podcasts you would recommend? The saying is the spirit is willing but the body is weak. I want to know more, I do care, but I just don’t have the resources or the ability to spend the effort / time to engage with more media. Hugs

My go-to outlet has always been the BBC. The TV service has lost some of its quality in its race to keep up with the commercial channels. The Radio service remains high-quality.

Which gives a listen access to podcasts, archive programmes and live broadcasts through its different channel….. Radio 4 and the BBC World Service being the news outlets.
It gets a lot of flak from the Left and the Right for being biased but that is for the simple reason it doesn’t tell the news the way either wants to hear it.

Hi Roger. I get a lot of my news off YouTube. I looked and BBC has a YouTube news channel. I subscribed to that and it will now be in my news feed. Hopefully that will keep me informed about more countries around the world. The problem is that most of my viewers will not care so much about what is happening in other countries. As far as Israel being able to say what about this or that happening in other countries that argument doesn’t work. The reason it doesn’t have merit is that the genocide, stealling of Palestinian possessions, and abuse of the Palestinians are being funded and facilitated by the US government and the US treasury. That means my tax dollars are going to Israel to harm others rather than being used here in my country to help our people. Hugs

The danger people tend to forget that in this world of travel and of internet connections whatever happens on one side of the world can affect them.
The classic example being 9/11. The cause and effect being US policy in another region far from its shores.
There is much suffering in the world Scottie and it will continue to be imported one way or another into other nations who used to think themselves distant from it.

Hi Roger. Yes there is a lot of suffering and most of it is either not known / understood or beyond the ability of most people to fully comprehend. Now Israel and their supporters are using that same argument to negate any criticism about what they are doing to the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. But the difference is that my taxpayer dollars and the treasury of my country are not going to these other governments to commit atrocities in those countries. My country is providing Israel with funds and military equipment, support, and the largest bombs / missiles to drop on people in tents who can’t defend themselves. Plus Israel has lied about their reasoning. They have mistreated the Palestinians for 60+ years with the idea of driving them off their land so the Israeli Jewish people can take it. Again with the full support and assistance of the US government and our elected politicians all due to the large sums of money AIPAC uses to bribe both political parties. Hugs

Sadly Scottie The War to save Palestine is being lost, slowly and surely. The actions of those wishing to rescue Palestine are serving only to tighten the Israeli extremists on its own population.
Had ten, fifteen years ago the actions being targeted to support the opposition forces within Israel to focus aid on those seeking reconciliation there would have been hope that a division would have been birthed and brought down the current hateful corrupt administration and reigned in the fanatical settler wing.
But since 2023 the wagons have been circled even tighter and every jew outside of Israel has become a target for the anti-semitics who now can hide the blanket of protest. And the current regime can point and say ‘Look things have not changed these 1500 years’
The West both governments and peoples have, has they have always done- failed to understand how things work in The Middle East and doomed its peoples to more suffering.
And playing their part in allowing creatures like Trump to rise with the support of fundamentalists who claim to be Christians and support Israel .
