“Police arrested a New Haven man after they say he was reported to have drawn a gun Saturday over two women not thanking him for holding a door open for them.
Hamden police said 25-year-old Joshua Murray was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, a felony; along with misdemeanor charges of interfering with an officer and two counts of second-degree breach of peace.
Hamden police officers were called to the Family Dollar store on Dixwell Avenue around 3:15 p.m. on Saturday after Murray was reported to have pointed a gun at customers in front of the business, police said.”

“When emergency workers responded to a call about a fire in Lafayette, Ind., last week, they witnessed a house engulfed in flames and a man leaping out of a window with a child in his arms.
The man was later identified as Nicholas Bostic, 25, a local pizza delivery man who is now being hailed as a hero for rescuing two children and three teenagers from the burning house.
Bostic was seriously injured during the rescue and had to be flown to nearby Indianapolis for treatment of severe smoke inhalation and a large gash on his right arm, according to a press release from the Lafayette Police Department.
A few days after his ordeal, Bostic had recovered enough to recount his story to police.”

“Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that fatally wounded a Black man on Saturday in San Bernardino, California.
They say the man was armed at the time.
The incident occurred in a parking lot around 8 p.m., and was recorded by nearby surveillance cameras.
Disturbing silent footage, which shows uniformed authorities emerge from an unmarked vehicle and shoot 23-year-old Robert Adams in the back, was shared to social media and has since sparked outrage online.
In the video, which lasts about two minutes, Adams is first seen standing at the rear of a parked car speaking to someone he seems to know. He appears to face the unmarked police vehicle and briefly step toward it, at which point two officers exit the driver’s and passenger seat doors with their guns drawn.
Adams turns to run in the opposite direction and moves just a few paces before one officer discharges his weapon.
The bullet strikes Adams in the back, and he falls to the ground. Adams was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.
His mother, Tamika Deavila King, responded to the shooting and surveillance footage in comments to CBS Los Angeles this week.
Like many others on Twitter and Facebook, she questioned the officer’s decision to fire his gun.”
Gingrich: Climate Change Is “A Bunch Of Lies”
“Go back and take everything that Al Gore put in his movie, go through it step-by-step — it’s all a bunch of lies, it didn’t happen, it’s not true.
“The human race is not on the edge of collective suicide unless it’s by nuclear war. But we’re certainly not on the edge of collective suicide because of climate.
“And I think the elites are so frenzied, they all go to the same cocktail parties, they all talk to each other, they all come to an agreement that they’re going to say this nonsense and going to reinforce each other.
“The truth is, it’s false. Just as, by the way, the same elites were lying to us about COVID.” – Newt Gingrich, last night on Laura Ingraham’s show.

“There are plenty of major issues in Prince George’s County.
Inflation and high gas prices have hit the mostly working- and middle-class Black voters who live in this commuter suburb hard.
While the county is one of the wealthiest majority-Black jurisdictions in the country, crime remains high: There were 135 homicides in 2021. Schools here lag behind those in the uber-wealthy neighboring counties of suburban Washington, D.C.
But it’s not crime or schools or the cost of living that has upended the Democratic congressional primary in the majority-Black district that dominates the county, but the United States’ support for Israel, a country 5,800 miles away.
Two pro-Israel groups have poured over $6.4 million into the contest, aiming to defeat former U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards and boost the candidacy of Glenn Ivey, a former prosecutor and Capitol Hill aide.
While little separates the two candidates ideologically — both are broadly liberal Democrats — Edwards’ willingness to even gently break with Capitol Hill’s long-standing consensus on Israel issues has earned her the ire of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).”
