Israeli Snipers Intentionally Murdered Al Jazeera Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh
“Several shots ring out in quick succession, cutting through a clear, blue spring morning in Jenin, in the West Bank. Crack, crack, crack, crack, crack, crack, crack. The cameraman filming the scene scrambles backwards to take cover behind a low concrete wall. Then a man cries out in Arabic: “Injured! Shireen, Shireen, oh man, Shireen! Ambulance!” When the camera operator pans around the corner, Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh can be seen lying motionless, face down on the ground as another Palestinian reporter, Shatha Hanaysha, crouches down beside her, using a tree trunk for cover. Hanaysha reaches out and tries to rouse her as gunshots continue. There’s no response. Both women are wearing helmets and blue protective vests marked “Press.” In the moments that follow, a man in a white T-shirt makes several attempts to move Abu Akleh, but is forced back repeatedly by gunfire. Finally, after a few long minutes, he manages to drag her body from the street. The shaky video, filmed by Al Jazeera cameraman Majdi Banura, captures the scene when Abu Akleh, a 51-year-old Palestinian-American was killed by a bullet to the head at around 6:30 a.m. on May 11. She had been standing with a group of journalists near the entrance of Jenin refugee camp, where they had come to cover an Israeli raid. While the footage does not show Abu Akleh being shot, eyewitnesses told CNN that they believe Israeli forces on the same street fired deliberately on the reporters in a targeted attack. All of the journalists were wearing protective blue vests that identified them as members of the news media.”
Supreme Court Strips Legal Challenge Rights From Wrongfully Convicted Inmates
“Legal experts responded with alarm Monday to a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court’s right-wing majority that could lead to the indefinite imprisonment and even execution of people who argue their lawyers didn’t provide adequate representation after convictions in state court. Justice Sonia Sotomayor—joined by the other two liberals on the court—also blasted the majority opinion in Shinn v. Martinez Ramirez, writing in her scathing dissent that the decision is both “perverse” and “illogical.” The case involved two men, David Martinez Ramirez and Barry Lee Jones, who are on death row in Arizona. The majority determined that inmates can’t present new evidence in federal court to support a claim that their post-conviction attorney in state court was ineffective, in violation of the Sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which affirms the right to “the assistance of counsel” in all criminal prosecutions.”
Failure Trump Candidate Panders To His Racist Voters By Attacking Stacey Abrams
“Republican Senate candidate David Perdue (R-GA) tore into Stacey Abrams while campaigning on Monday and accused her of “demeaning her own race.” “When she told Black farmers you don’t need to be on the farm, when she told Black workers in hospitality and all this you don’t need to be … she is demeaning her own race when it comes to that,” Perdue said on The John Fredricks radio show. “I am really over this. She should never be considered material for governor,” he continued. Perdue would face Abrams in the general election in November for governor but is unlikely to win his primary against incumbent Republican Governor Brian Kemp. Perdue, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, has been trailing Kemp by as much as 30 points in the polls.”
Televangelist: A “Demonized” Old Lady Screamed At Me
This is for the viewers who enjoy the totally clueless religious grifters. This woman went pushing religion on an elderly person who did not want it. Yet rather than admit she was wrong to do that she claims the woman rejected her god because she has a demon in her. Yes the only reason someone would reject being preached to about the Christian god is you are possessed by a demon. Hugs
One of the comments hit the nail on the head with this: “Just more people who think this is the way they earn brownie points to get into heaven. They aren’t so much acting out of concern for others as they are out of fear for themselves because they can’t stand the thought that there might not actually be an afterlife”. They are doing it for themselves to please their god, they don’t really care about other people. Hugs
Televangelist and self-proclaimed prophet Jennifer Eivaz tried to “share Jesus” with an elderly woman living in an assisted living home and things didn’t go so well.
She writes for the far-right Charisma News:
I found her easily enough, as she typically sat facing a window in her wheelchair, always bent over in an arch and never fully able to straighten herself up.
I approached her as politely as I knew how and then shared with her about the love of Jesus and the power of His forgiveness. At the same time, I mistakenly believed she was ready to receive my words and did not anticipate what happened next.
Instead of her being receptive, almost instantly an ugly stream of blasphemies and curses spilled out her mouth. She continued to make abominably vile and foul statements about Jesus until I gave up and walked out of the facility in both shock and embarrassment.
What was going on here? This usually quiet, elderly woman was not crazy, as we are so apt to label people who behave how she behaved. She was demonized, meaning she was under the control and influence of a demonic spirit. This aged woman had a demon and that demon hated Jesus viciously.
That first paragraph . . . she goes around stalking people in nursing homes?

How is it that she gained access? We really need to protect the elderly from these groomers.

Many of these assisted living places are profoundly expensive, and typically insurance doesn’t cover it. A friend’s parents were in one here in Texas and they paid over $4,000 a month for the mother, just for a little apartment there, and they paid $11,000 a month for the father, who was in memory care with Parkinsons. These people were paying out of their own savings, so there’s money to be made for the Jeebus grifters.
My mother is in assisted living. She is paying about $9500 per month rent, plus about $2000 for medication management and personal care services. She does have long-term care insurance which reimburses about $9300 of that. But I am sure that many of her fellow residents are paying full freight, and (like Mom) have tons on money in the bank from selling their homes (mortgages paid off years ago)

It’s the only way she can get an audience-captive! I wonder if she is trying to scam them for $$$

Oh, yeah. But sometimes we little old ladies can take only so much. I’d always checked “no” when in a hospital and asked if I wanted to see a chaplain. My ‘no’ was honored until a husband/wife tag team came to share the Good News.. I told them I did not want them and that my partner was visiting (holding my hand). When they started in with the gay thing, I told them to get out. If they didn’t, I would call the nurse. They left saying they’d pray for me. Both Jack and I shouted out “don’t bother.” I complained to the chaplain-in-chief and got lunch and an apology.
So, yeah. It’s proper and just to remind the jeebus shouters that not all of us believe what they do, that trying their conversion techniques on those who are restricted in their movement should NOT be treated as sitting ducks, and their assumptions are full of shit.
Totally on the old girl’s side.

Let us prey…
But yeah, talk about a captive audience. Literally can’t run away from these goody two shoes who are only after getting brownie points with their god.
I had a coworker who constantly tried to “save” me. Told him I wouldn’t be another notch in his bible.

Do they get a toaster oven for every hundred people they recruit?
Xtians always think they have a willing captive audience in care facilities. On one of the occasions when I was admitted to hospital, I was eating my lunch and a priest came through the door, not knocking, and began to offer to pray for me. I had written on my admitting from that I was Atheist and wanted no religious affiliation. I told him to get the fuck out of my room and thew my Jello at him. What makes Xtians think that just because you are old, you want to be harassed by liars.
Walker Busted In Lie About Founding Veterans “Charity”
This guy lies so often I think he wouldn’t know the truth if he tripped over it. How the Republicans in Georgia support him is beyond me. He has domestic abuse charges, admits pulling a gun on his wife, has lied about everything in his life, has a certified mental illness and brain damage. But he has two things they really want. He has an R next to his name and he is black which they need because the guy he is running against is a black man also. Hugs
The Associated Press reports:
In interviews and campaign appearances, the former Dallas Cowboy and Heisman Trophy winner takes credit for founding, co-founding and sometimes operating a program called Patriot Support. The program, he says, has taken him to military bases all over the world.
But corporate documents, court records and Senate disclosures reviewed by The Associated Press tell a more complicated story. Together they present a portrait of a celebrity spokesman who overstated his role in a for-profit program that is alleged to have preyed upon veterans and service members while defrauding the government.
But Patriot Support is not a charity. It’s a for-profit program specifically marketed to veterans that is offered by Universal Health Services, one of the largest hospital chains in the U.S. Walker wasn’t the program’s founder, either. It was created 11 years before Universal Health Services says it hired Walker as a spokesman, which paid him a salary of $331,000 last year.

A lie is a feature not a bug for Republicans.
Herschel Walker lied about his role in a “charity” that turns out not to be a charity? It’s not the first lie he has told, and I’m sure it’s not the last. Walker should not be elected to Congress. There are too many lying Republicans there, already.

It’s a virtue, not a flaw. MAGAts long to be lied to.
Let’s see, he’s a liar, an idiot, sexual abuser, and of a criminal mind – makes him perfect for a Republican candidate – perhaps he can be Trump’s running mate or chief of staff in 2024.
He also has horrible parenting skills. His son is a spoiled brat

She thinks that acting like a douchebag gets daddies love and approval.

He’s been busted for quite a few lies, that’s why Trump’s supporters love him. They love the lies.
Schlapp: Abortion Bans Will “Solve” White Replacement
In his ruling Alito mentioned a lack of babies to adopt. He doesn’t care that there is lots of older kids needing homes, but he was only worried about the babies. Why? Could it be because as they grow they are the easiest to indoctrinate into religion and bigotry? Here one of the leaders of the right claims forcing white women to carry pregnancy to term will help stop the white people from becoming a losing their majority power. Make women forced to birth facing death and long-term physical damage so white babies may be born. But really what they are saying is that women mean nothing if they can possibly get a white male child or a girl child they can force to give birth to more kids. At what point do these people mandate how many babies / kids each white family has to increase the white race? Will there be a minimum number of children for the white women? How long until these people start insisting that people of color that have more than one child be sterilized? This seems to have been their plan for a long time. All due to fear of a time when they wont be the most powerful. Why would they fear that? Could it be that they have been so horrible to others while they have power they are worried that those they mistreated would respond in kind to them? Maybe they should just try to be nice and treat everyone fairly. Hugs
“Roe v. Wade is being adjudicated at the Supreme Court right now, for people that believe that we somehow need to replace populations or bring in new workers, I think it is an appropriate first step to give the enshrinement in law the right to life for our own unborn children.
“If you say there is a population problem in a country, but you’re killing millions of your own people through legalized abortion every year, if that were to be reduced, some of that problem is solved. You have millions of people who can take many of these jobs.
“How come no one brings that up? If you’re worried about this quote-unquote replacement, why don’t we start there? Start with allowing our own people to live.” – Matt Schlapp, speaking today at CPAC Hungary.
The majority of white people will be able to travel to states and still get abortions. Its poor black and brown that are going to be forced to give birth. JFC, these folks dont even understand basic economic reality.
Worse. They understand, but they also know it’ll force continued generational poverty for those unable to obtain abortions. Which will keep “those” people out of view (except for crime stats and other ways of making them seem lesser/undesirable), and continue the broadening difference between the haves and the have nots, both in terms of color and wealth/education/opportunity.

There is a large underclass of Caucasian poor who will not be able to do so. It is important to keep a steady supply of poorly educated, impoverished white people to do menial work as well as to join the military to fight in our wars overseas. Running an empire requires a large pool of potential soldiers.

Legal weed is something conservatives can’t stop and they are shitting their pants about it because incarcerating young black non violent offenders is so incredibly profitable and provides a conveyor belt of cash back to conservative politicians. More poor black and brown kids are a guarantee that the cash flow doesn’t stop.
Conservative are heinous.

It will give them something to bitch about. More minority babies on food stamps and Medicaid.
Plus, its good for fund raising.
Adam Schmidt Lazycrockett • 5 days ago
Republicans aren’t worried about that. They can fuck over health care enough so that the poor (read black) people die.

“Forced pregnancies.”
That’s what he’s saying. That’s what he wants. Women are to be enslaved by the state for the purpose of pumping out babies. And the unspoken part is he wants them to be white babies.
Let’s talk about Biden, China, and intent….
THE GREAT CELIBACY
Gross Republican Takes His Hood Off Talking About Maternal Mortality Rates
“Republican Senator Bill Cassidy gave a jaw-dropping answer to a question about the maternal mortality rate in his home state of Louisiana, pointing out — among other things — that it’s not so bad if you don’t count all the Black women. Cassidy sat for a lengthy interview with Politico Reporter Sarah Owermohle, who asked Cassidy about a variety of health-related subjects, including the Justice Samuel Alito-authored draft opinion that would overturn the constitutionally right to abortion should it become final. But early in the interview, Owermohle drew out a startling response from Cassiday when she asked about the high rate of maternal mortality in Louisiana. He pointed out that his state’s maternal mortality rate is not an “outlier” if you “correct our population for race,” and also said that some definitions of maternal mortality include “someone being killed by her boyfriend””
