WHY We Went To WAR

  1. Good morning Scottie. Very good information. I still have this view of how wars must be fought. The leader of the countries should be the ones doing the fighting instead of sending young men and women out to do it for them. Do it gladiator style so everyone can watch them as they go to battle in a place like the Colosseum in Rome and let the people decide with a thumbs up or down which one lives and which one dies. In the case of the resident clown draft dodger I think it will be a very short conflict. Not only an idiot but also a coward, he wouldn’t be so fast to declare war on the rest of the world or on the people he decides are not giving him the respect he thinks he deserves. In my opinion, he hasn’t done anything to deserve respect. Huge HUGS!

    1. Hi Angie. Grand to hear from you. I hope you’re well. You have an interesting way to have a war I admit it would be a lot safer for the civilians who seem to be killed more often than the fighters. I have long noticed the upper incomes kids no longer serve. Barron Trump will not be in the military going to war, nor any Congress critters kids. They have turned the idea of fighting for the country into the poor families kids and lower incomes who lose sons and daughters. It gives the ones making the laws and running the country no reason to stop wars because they suffer no harm, as again it is all borne by the lower incomes. The idea of military service by upper incomes used to be an owed public service until the 1970s. In fact the anti-war song Fortunate Son is about. Some of the lyrics are below. Stay well dear friend. Hugs.

      [Chorus]
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
      I ain’t no senator’s son, son

It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one, no

      [Chorus]
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
      I ain’t no millionaire’s son, no, no
It ain’t me, it ain’t me
I ain’t no fortunate one, no

      1. Wow! I don’t remember hearing that song before but it sure is on the mark. I do think my way of conducting a war would be best for everyone though. It’s usually the despots leading the countries who want to own more of the world, so why not make them do the fighting in a ring for us all to watch! Not sure I would like the winner take all outcome, but at least no one in my family would be fighting.

Good thing I got online tonight. I would have been late for everything in the morning if now, even though I have known for a few weeks that daylight time was coming. Personally I see no reason to do that to people twice every year, but nobody asked me and they wouldn’t listen if they did. Huge hugs!

        1. Hi Angie. I agree with you. I like it light in the early morning and darker earlier as I get up early like 5 am and go to bed early also. When daylight saving time hits in the fall it makes another hour of darkness in my morning and it is light when I go to bed. Be well. Hugs

          1. Not sure about being well since new lesions are showing up from the cellulitis. I have a feeling that is my death notice but am okay with it. I’ve been around too long as it is and ready to move on to another plane. Since I seldom sleep it is mainly all the same to me when daylight happens, but having to adjust my inner clock to meal times and function times for events here is a royal pain. Love you Hugs!

            1. Hi Angie. You need a medicated cream for the sores. As long as you keep them clean and medicated they shouldn’t eat deeper or spread. If possible keep them covered. Ron says moving the affected limb or area is important as there is too much fluid in the skin. If it is a part you sit or lay on then shift off that area as much as possible, using pillows to create cushion and lean. Ron says if you are sitting for long periods, then set a clock to do the pillow lean every hour so you don’t forget. Sadly I get pressure pressure sores started on my elbows which I have to pad with elbow coverings I have to use. They slip over your arm like a sleeve and have thick pads at the elbow part. I don’t care for them as they get hot but I have to keep the sores from getting deeper until they heal. I also get pressure sores where I sit. Ron checks them every day and puts cream on them and if needed covers them with padded bandages. I realize you don’t have anyone to really help you with that part. But shifting positions and using pillows helps a lot. Ron has started looking for one of my air seat cushions. I used them in the wheel chair when I was stuck in it. I had to stop using them in the desk chair and go to a solid cushion due to cats with claws jumping in my chair. But now it is time again to use them as the spine is so bad and painful and I am getting spots where I don’t need spots at all. Hope this helps. If you don’t have access to an air seat, please let me know and I will send you one off amazon. Hugs

              1. I’m not sure what an air cushion is, but I do use the type that has the inverted U at the coccyx area. And I do have a recurring pressure sore there as a souvenir of a hospital stay in 2013 when I had shoulder replacement surgery and spent 3 days lying in the same position while all requests for little items like pain meds and bed pan were ignored — until they sent the bill to Medicare. That bill said I had received all meds and help with bed pan needs. When my son came to take me home he got to see how they ignored all requests and when I finally managed to get them to come with my release papers the nurse told me I had a drawer full of meds at the desk. I told her it was not from lack of requesting them and she didn’t say any more. Medicare finally told the hospital they would not pay anything more on my account because of the fraudulent bill and I heard later that the doctor called several meetings on my account after he found out about the neglect. I won’t go back to that place to this day, going almost 2 hours drive away to the one in Indiana where I spent Christmas. The local one has no competition now and they also own most of the doctors in the areal Now a good thing.

But this problem is with my left ankle and now the shin. The nurses here change the dressing on the leg every day and it looked healed for a couple of days, but 2 days ago there were new lesions above where the original problem began. I think cellulitis is a blood disease and I know it does spread. The area was biopsied when I was in the hospital in December but I haven’t heard the result of that. Have received the bill though and was surprised to find it at $475 rather than the thousands I feared. Still have to make payments for a couple of years but it could have been so much worse.

                1. Hi Angie. An air cushion is a seat made of air coils that you inflate to your own comfort. It sounds like you already have what you need. I am glad your son was able to keep you from being scammed, and I am sorry you had to go through that bad care environment. My friend Kamyk had similar bad treatment in a care home. He had a pressure sore on the bottom of his tail bone that has caused his reattachment surgery to be delayed at least a year. He is so frustrated. I just want you to heal as best you can and I want you to know Ron and I care. Again if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Hugs

                  1. Thanks Scottie. It helps just to know you and Ron are out there. The leg looks a little bit better today so my hopes are up again.

On another subject, got news tonight that grandson, Noah, was in an accident today and fractured hs back. Could have been worse — he is in a brace and can still move around so I’m thankful for that. Severe pain taking its tole but at least he can move!!!!

                    1. Hi Angie. I’m sorry to hear about your grandson. I am glad he did not break his spine or damage the nerves causing him to be paralyzed. That he can move and feel things is a great sign he can recover. Sadly he will have pain in and from his back for the rest of his life. How old is he? Does he have a spouse and children of his own? Hugs
