House Nominee Wants Rape Victims To Appear Before “Community-Level Review” Board To Beg For Abortion

Republican Bo Hines wants victims of rape and incest to go through “a community-level review process outside the jurisdiction of the federal government” to determine if they can get an abortion.

Hines advocated for this “death panel”-esque review process for women seeking an abortion in an interview with local TV station WRAL.

Hines has long advocated for extreme restrictions on abortion – he told the Raleigh News & Observer that “Abortion should be made illegal throughout the United States. No exceptions.”

In April, Hines called abortion the “greatest moral atrocity” and said it was a “mass genocide that occurred in our country.”

“Bo Hines would make women and girls who have already experienced horrific trauma beg for their right to get an abortion from a panel of complete strangers,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson.

“Bo Hines has demonstrated a disgusting lack of empathy for women this entire campaign. He doesn’t deserve the power to make health care decisions for us in Congress.”

Tulsa’s ABC affiliate reports:

Tulsa Fire investigators are looking for a person of interest after someone smashed a window at a Brookside donut shop and threw a Molotov cocktail inside. This is the second time the business has been vandalized in the past two weeks.

The owners of The Donut Hole near 31st and Peoria said they were out of town when they got the devastating call that their business had been targeted again.

Investigators said the person first puts a letter with anti-LGBTQ rhetoric on the door of a neighboring business, then uses a bat to smash through the glass door. Once it was broken, the person is seen throwing the explosive device inside.

We had the privilege of being able to be a part of the vision of The Queens Dirty Dozen; An art installation donut shop run by drag queens.

The event was an enormous success with over 500 guests attending, and an overwhelming reaction of laughing, jokes, fun and good times were had by all.

Unfortunately, there was also a reaction of hate and we were the victim of somebodies malicious acts. But in ones attempt to rain on our parade, the community answered by showing overwhelming support.

From the GoFundMe that was started by Queens Dirty Dozen, goals were surpassed in less than one hour.

Repairs will be made and all extra proceeds will be given to the Tulsa Equality Center to help spread acceptance, tolerance and love.

These malicious acts have resulted in thousands of dollars going towards the cause this entire event was meant to support. Love wins.

Closeted Gay Teen’s Parents Find His Search History | Gay Teens | Hidden Kisses

I am not really not feel all that well.   Nothing bad but my stomach is unsettled and upset.   I think I just needed a down day.   But then this clip popped up in my feed.   It is a story of two boys who are gay teens, they discover each other.   At the point of this clip one of the gay boys has been beaten up for being gay and his teachers want to bring in a guest speaker to try to teach tolerance and acceptance of gay kids.   The person in charge at the school is against it because some parents will think the school is proselytizing or pushing gay rights / gay sex on the kids.  Sound familiar?   The boy who got beat up is accepted by his dad who celebrates his 16th birthday by taking him to a gay club / bar where he lets the boy meet other gay people.   But the main focus of this clip is on the other boy Louis and the highly negative reaction of his parents to seeing his search history, his chat logs with Nathan his boyfriend, and finding out he is gay.   They don’t take it well with the dad hurting the boy and then they try to force him to change claiming both it is a choice he is making and a sickness he has.   They take away his phone and computer and keep him grounded not even allowed to go to school until he comes to his sense and decides not to be gay anymore.    Louis figures he has to lie to get back his life so tells them he is not gay but the dad finds out he has been using his forbidden phone to contact his boyfriend.   It just makes the situation worse.  His father demands the entire family shun him.  He cannot eat with the family, he cannot be in the rooms with them, he is to stay in his room, and even his little brother is not allowed to talk or be with him.   

I am posting this for those that don’t understand how important it is for LGBTQ+ kids to have acceptance at school, to have teachers willing to provide them with safe classrooms where they know the teacher will not let them be attacked or bullied.  Especially kids with highly religious or bigoted families.  If the kids don’t think it is safe for them to tell their parents how does a teacher telling the parent make it any better or safer for the kid.   It is why symbols like the rainbow flag and other gay pride things in the classrooms or on the doors are so very important.   This is happening in the US right now, all over the country.  Kids are born gay, they know it, and some parents are accepting due to the positive teaching in society.  But some parents are horrible bigoted and not only punish their own kids for how they are born but either make them do conversion therapy which has been proven to be harmful and of no benefit or worse kick them out of the home making them homeless forcing them to live on the streets somehow.   Sadly that for most homeless gay / trans kids means selling their bodies for food or shelter.   The very thing the parents claimed to want to protect them from.  I have watched videos and read stories of Christian / Muslim families who claim that their gay child is choosing to let the devil in to them by sinning so they cannot have their young gay teen in their home.       The clip is not in English, but the subtitles are very good.   Please understand this is what the Don’t Say gay Bills are doing, promoting this bigotry and harm to gay kids.   In Florida it has removed safe spaces for gay kids and forces teachers to tell bigoted parents that their child is gay or trans so they can be treated this way.  It removes the teaching of tolerance and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people.  It removes the positive reinforcement about LGBTQ+ people so that the only thing kids hear / know about them is the negatives, that those people are bad and dangerous to the good normal kids so they need to be stopped, hurt, and harmed before they hurt good normal kids.  Please watch and leave me a comment on your feelings.   Hugs

The conservative “news” outlet, The Federalist, published a screed against transgender people that echoes rhetoric that German Nazis used against Jewish people in the 1930s.

The attack came in a piece entitled “We Need To Stop Calling Ourselves Conservatives,” written by John Daniel Davidson. Davidson is also the political editor for The Federalist.

Davidson’s piece refers to “the transgender question” and says, “On the transgender question, conservatives will have to repudiate utterly the cowardly position of people like David French, in whose malformed worldview Drag Queen Story Hour at a taxpayer-funded library is a ‘blessing of liberty.’”

Davidson makes a call to arms for conservatives to oppose transgender rights: “that parents who take their kids to drag shows should be arrested and charged with child abuse; that doctors who perform so-called “gender-affirming” interventions should be thrown in prison and have their medical licenses revoked; and that teachers who expose their students to sexually explicit material should not just be fired but be criminally prosecuted.”

‘You Must Use the Insurrection Act’: Oath Keepers Trial Witness Says Stewart Rhodes Asked Him to Tell Trump to Seize Power by Force

A government witness in the seditious conspiracy trial of Stewart Rhodes claims the Oath Keepers leader asked him to deliver a message telling then-President Donald Trump to seize power by force.

“You must use the insurrection act and use the power of the Presidency to stop him,” Rhodes allegedly told Trump in a typewritten message entered into evidence. “And all us veterans will support you and so will the vast majority of military.”

According to the testimony, Rhodes personally entered that message into the phone of government witness Jason Alpers, a military veteran with combat and special ops experience in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He testified that Rhodes passed on the message during his meeting with the Oath Keepers leader in the parking lot of a Fry’s electronics store in Texas on Jan. 10, 2021.

Rhodes, he claims, wanted him to pass the message to Trump, knowing that Alpers had a line to the 45th president.

“Not directly but indirectly,” Alpers testified.

Alpers said that he furtively taped the meeting with a recording device — which he said resembled a thumb drive — in case he needed to pass on the message to Trump.

“I was really using it for my protection, making sure that I had an accurate account of it,” he said.

That recording, which Alpers turned over to the FBI months later, was entered into evidence and played in court. It features a lengthy discussion of the Insurrection Act, which Oath Keepers members believed would allow Trump to militarize groups like them to keep him in power.

“I mean we heard he dropped the Insurrection Act, now we’re hearing he didn’t drop it,” Rhodes said.

But Alpers apparently disagreed.

“I’m hearing he did not,” he replied.

“Okay,” Rhodes said. “So what are you hearing?”

“Uh, that he hasn’t dropped it,” Alpers continued.

After some further discussion, Alpers predicted that the Trump would not ultimately invoke it.

“I don’t think the Insurrection Act’s gonna get signed, me personally,” he said. “That doesn’t mean that I’m not gonna take what we’re talking about and provide it to the right place, ok?”

By that, Alpers continued in the tape, he meant the “head guy.”

Asked by the prosecutor who the “head guy” was, Alpers clarified: “I meant providing the message to President Trump.”

That message, allegedly relayed by Rhodes to give to Trump, was grim.

“You and your children will die in prison, and us veterans will die in combat fighting against traitors who YOU turned over all the powers of the Presidency to,” Rhodes allegedly wrote for Trump’s consumption. The message also asked the former president to arrest members of Congress.

After first invoking imagery from the Civil War, Rhodes in the message turned toward the spector of World War II: “Be a Churchill, not a Chamberlain.”

Alpers testified that he did not pass on the message because he did not agree with it.

As a veteran, Alpers said, he’s seen combat, and the recording seems to show Alpers discouraging Rhodes from pursuing that course.

“I can tell you right now I don’t wish civil war on anyone,” Alpers said on the tape.

“We’re gonna have it bud,” Rhodes replied, according to the transcript.

Asked why he pushed back against Rhodes on that point, Alpers told the prosecutor: “Asking for Civil War to be on American ground […] that means blood is going to be shed on the streets where your family’s on.”

After Alpers finished his testimony, FBI agent Jennifer Banks returned to the witness stand to analyze cell phone tower data. According to the witness, that data placed Rhodes, SoRelle and Oath Keepers member Joshua James in the Dallas area, the location of the meeting, at the time.

A former Oath Keepers member now cooperating with the government previously testified that Rhodes spoke as if he had a “direct line” to Trump. Another ex-Oath Keepers member said that Rhodes placed a call in a hotel on speaker phone after Jan. 6, asking to be connected to Trump.

Donald Trump’s attorneys saw a direct appeal to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as their best hope of derailing Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election, email messages newly disclosed to congressional investigators show.

“We want to frame things so that Thomas could be the one to issue some sort of stay or other circuit justice opinion saying Georgia is in legitimate doubt,” Trump attorney Kenneth Chesebro wrote in a Dec. 31, 2020 email to Trump’s legal team.

“Realistically, our only chance to get a favorable judicial opinion by Jan. 6, which might hold up the Georgia count in Congress, is from Thomas — do you agree, Prof. Eastman?”

The fact that every school official denies that there are litterboxes doesn’t matter to him because it is a great talking point to tarnish trans kids with.  Besides a right wing media has said it is happening so that is proof it is happening right?   Now I did find out that there are a few schools that do have emergency kits in classrooms that do include a bucket with kitty litter so that kids in a mass shooting lockdown stuck in the class room have a place to pee.   Columbine was the first school to set these emergency kits / buckets up in the classrooms.    It is not a littler box really, it is not for furries or kids playing dress up.   It is a sad commentary on our country these days that something so serious as our children being in hiding from an active shooter is misconstrued to attack trans kids and ridiculed an important safety asset.    Hugs
