Nazi Leader Arrested At Boston Drag Event Protest

I want to credit every republican in office who makes a point to use minorities as a target and every right winger who supports those racist bigots, this is what they sowed, and we will suffer with what they reap.  These thugs claim they are worried about the children but think how traumatized the kids must be by these men screaming and cursing them and their parents?  Why is the parents’ rights to take their children to these story hours not respect as much as maga right wing parents who want books banned from libraries?    Funny how that works, they have the freedom to tell you what to do and you have the freedom to do what they tell you.  Hugs

Boston’s ABC affiliate reports:

A member of a white supremacist group and two other people were arrested Saturday in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston as they marched and chanted during a meeting of LGBTQ community members.

City officials said the group, National Socialist Club or NSC-131, was protesting during a drag queen story hour event at the Loring Greenough House. Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden confirmed Chris Hood, founder of the group, was one of the people placed under arrest.

The National Socialist Club is considered a neo-Nazi group by the Anti-Defamation League. The group has chapters in all six New England States. They say their goal is to create a network of white men, who are willing to fight against the extinction of their race.

Boston’s CBS affiliate reports:

Witness video of the self-proclaimed Neo-Nazis shows the group of white men wearing hats standing behind a banner that said, “Pedo Scum Off Our Streets.” Police ushered the children out of the book reading and away from the group of white supremacists. Counter-protesters later approached the men.

Boston Police say 23-year-old Christopher Hood, the leader of the NSC-131, and a counter-protester, 27-year-old Seth Rosenau, were arrested after assaulting one another. The fight was broken up by officers. Both were charged with affray and disturbing the peace, and they will both be in West Roxbury Court on Monday.

The Boston Herald reports:

“We are prepared and will not be intimidated in our work to make Boston a city for everyone,” Mayor Michelle Wu said. “We remain ready for citywide deployment of extra public safety resources with a zero tolerance approach to any groups looking to intimidate or harass residents in our city.”

Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden called it an “organized white supremacist action” and said Boston was a “way point in the crusade of hate” launched in Charlottesville, Virginia five years ago during the infamous “Unite the Right” rally.

“The presence of white supremacists at a Jamaica Plain book reading today, like their downtown Boston march earlier this month, is at once a disgrace and a warning,” Hayden said in a statement. “Society everywhere is targeted by these groups, and society everywhere must reject them.”

Ex-president Donald Trump went long and went off when he spoke on Saturday at the Turning Points Action conference in Tampa, Florida, telling his audience that he was “so off-script” and mowing through a host of grievances and enemies on his list.

“That’s one thing you can’t say about Joe Biden. If he guess off-script it’s a disaster,” said Trump, seemingly acknowledging he was going long and getting off topic before continuing in that vein for over 15 minutes more.

After laying into Democrat Adam Schiff at length, Trump named other enemies such as Republicans Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins before turning his attention to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her husband Paul Pelosi.

“Where does it stop? Where does it all end?” Trump asked the audience. “It probably doesn’t stop because despite the great outside dangers, our biggest threat remains the sick and sinister and very evil people from within our country.”

“People like crazy Nancy Pelosi — she’s nuts. I’m telling you, she’s a nut job,” said Trump. “I mean, you talk about people in politics. Look at her husband. Every time something happens, he goes out and he buys stuff. He’s made a lot of money, made $100 million.”

Trump was referencing the fact that Mr. Pelosi recently made a large investment in graphic chips ahead of a vote that would have a direct impact on the stock value. A vote about which one might reasonably deduce the Pelosis would have some certainty on the outcome – and therefore the impact.

“She started off with nothing. And she does have a big wall around her house, by the way, even though she fought us like crazy on the wall,” said Trump, going off-script from being off-script. “But she’s crazy. She’s nuts. I’m telling you, she’s a psycho.”

“I mean, how can they allow a person to make all that money? And the press barely wants to cover it,” Trump continued. “It’s called insider trading. Insider trading. Everything this corrupt establishment is doing to me is all about preserving their power and control over the American people.”

“They’re sick,” he added.

I want everyone to notice that the right delights in violence against those who disagree with them.   The rabid right wingers rushed into the crowd of protestors and attacked them.   To those who say we shouldn’t ever use violence notice the police refused to charge or arrest the right winger who was stealing protestors signs, attacking them, and proud of his violence on the left counter protestors.     The same guy was the one I posted who was so over the top sexually screaming at AOC.  So yes had I been in that crowd of protestors and one of these assholes tried to take my sign or fucked with me I would react very violently.   I would kick the shit out of them or go down trying.   I won’t turn and run from these assholes.   They used to attack gay people in gangs until gay people started kicking their asses.   That needs to happen now.   These right wing jerks want to start shit, we on the left have to be willing to hold our own and stop them.   Plus this bullshit of the police protecting the rabid right needs to be something everyone should complain about to the police, to the communities, to the people in charge.   Hugs

While thousands of conservative student activists cheered the words shared by some of the country’s top conservative leaders, including former President Donald Trump, at Turning Point USA’s 2022 Student Action Summit in the Tampa Convention Center, angry words were exchanged between young adults outside.

Hundreds of activists came out for a “Don’t Facist Our Florida” protest organized by Florida For Change, Tampa Bay Community Action Committee and Women’s Voices of SW Florida.

Alex Stein of Dallas, Texas, who broadcasts the program, “Prime Time 99 Alex Stein,” on Rumble and describes himself as a “professional troll,” was escorted from the protest area by police after he grabbed signs away from pro-life demonstrators while shouting, “Baby killers. You guy murder babies.”

Creative Loafing Tampa reports:

As the protest crowd approached, right wingers holding signs that read “Free the J6 Political Prisoners” shouted “keep moving commies!” as the protestors shouted “racist, sexist, anti-gay, Ron DeSantis go away!”

When the protest crowd arrived in front of the convention center, the right wingers entered the crowd and began antagonizing protesters. Self-described “comedian” named Alex Stein also entered the crowd and called all of the protesters “baby killers” as he ripped signs out of women’s hands and pushed his way into the crowd.

TPD removed Stein from the crowd and one officer told him, “You can’t be physically fighting people,” but still refused to take action against him. When asked why TPD just let him go with little incident—even with several witnesses, victims, and video of him instigating—officer D.J. Rhodes noted that protestors were on the walkway.

Last week Stein earned national headlines for sexually harassing AOC on the steps of US Capitol, a stunt which earned him appearances on Fox News and multiple pro-Trump outlets. As you can see by his own clip below, Stein is quite proud of himself.

Calling it “an indefensible act of hatred,” the Florida Holocaust Museum sharply condemned demonstrations at the Tampa Convention Center where a group of neo-fascists waved flags with swastikas outside Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit.

Inside the summit, Turning Point USA’s founder Charlie Kirk told a cheering crowd that there were 5,000 people in attendance. Kirk called Democrats the “invading, occupying force” in the U.S. and encouraged attendees to have lots of children to “outbreed” liberals.

The group distributed flyers, one of which said “every single aspect of abortion is Jewish.” The flyers say they were distributed by the Goyim Defense League, which the anti-defamation league describes as an extremist terrorist organization that was responsible for at least 74 anti-semitic propaganda incidents in 2021.

Turning Point spokesperson Andrew Kolvet told CL that TPUSA had no idea who the Nazi groups were or why they turned up outside the convention.

Florida has seen a rise in fascist activity in recent months. In Orlando, the Nazi group Atomwaffen assaulted civilians during a demonstration, and a neo-Nazi group made a bomb threat in Daytona Beach.

As they always do, Trump cultists are busy on social media claiming that the Nazis were planted by the FBI to make them look bad.

Chicago’s ABC affiliate reports:

A man has been arrested after UpRising Bakery was vandalized and its family-friendly drag show, set for Saturday, was canceled, Lake in the Hills police said.

A the northwest suburban bakery’s owner said she canceled the event after someone broke the business’ windows and spray-painted slurs on its walls overnight Saturday. An Algonquin police sergeant saw the suspect flee on foot, authorities said. Joseph I. Collins, 24, was taken into custody at about 12:05 a.m.

Collins’ bond was set at $10,000 and he remains in custody, police said. The bakery had been experiencing a flurry of online and in-person backlash against the business hosting it. Since announcing the drag show for all ages, UpRising Bakery and Cafe owner Corinna Sac said she received numerous threats.
