I enjoy listening to this person talk on different subjects, because he is a person who uses reason and thinks things through without just relying on tropes or rote.    This short talk is on the topic of the great replacement idea that Tucker loves so much and immigration.    He talks about how it influences people to do horrible things to others.   Hugs

I am not a believer in deities nor the supernatural.   I am not religious, and I am an atheist.   But I do post a lot of the very hateful asshole stuff Christian / religious people to do harm others.   Today I thought I would give a religious leader a chance to speak for themselves on this subject.   I have posted this gentleman before.   While we do not agree on if there is a god, we do agree on other things especially that a personal faith is not a club to harm others you dislike with.   He seems a rather smart man I would enjoy an afternoon with.   Hugs

“Ex-Gay” Grifter Who Recently Confessed That He’s Still Having Sex With Men Leads Yet Another “Ex-Gay” March

Sexual attraction is a spectrum, and we know that where on the spectrum people fall is something we are born with.   The environment may have some determination in how some facets of how we enjoy or act on what we were born being.   But the fact where you fall on the straight / bi / gay spectrum is something you are born with, and it cannot be changed.   What these ex-gay and conversion therapy do is effect behavior to a degree but don’t change the inborn attraction you started with.   They pretend to be healed or changed but all they do is change their behavior, and now most of these groups admit the feelings are still there and will be forever.   They just try their best to ignore them.   They eventually give in, have same sex and go back to it, or they deny their basic needs to live in a way their bodies fight against.    Hugs

The Christian Post reports:

Declaring their testimonies of how Jesus has transformed their lives, formerly LGBT-identified young men and women gathered in Washington, D.C., Saturday for the Freedom March. Gathered next to the Washington Monument for what has become an annual event in the nation’s capital, the hosts of the march continue to see the Holy Spirit doing remarkable work in the lives of people who reach out to them.

Jeffrey McCall, founder of the Freedom March, said he’s amazed by how the Lord is stirring among younger people. Since 2018, when the first march took place, their growing tribe of formerly LGBT-identified people has become especially close. “We call each other, do Bible studies together, encourage each other. It’s built a family. It’s a young family,” McCall told the Christian Post.

From the Metro Weekly article I excerpted in December:

Jeffrey McCall, the founder of “ex-gay” group Freedom March, has confessed to having multiple hookups with men since last year.

McCall claims to have lived as a gay male sex worker, and then as a transgender woman named Scarlett, before renouncing his sexuality and gender identity and founding Freedom March.

But in a post last month on his Facebook page, McCall told his supporters that he had engaged in “multiple” sexual encounters with men since 2020.

From his above-cited Facebook post:

In 2020 I met someone that I was trying to help (I was helping in other ways he didn’t deal with SSA) which lead to me being unfaithful to Jesus and giving my heart away.

After denying what I wanted with him I then went on to fall sexually with a man when I felt wounded and lonely. This lead to multiple falls with men over time. (None of these men were Christians or people from ministry)

Every time I fell I would truly repent and turn away again. I would feel Gods love, mercy, and forgiveness sometimes before I could even finish the prayer. (I am not condoning this sin at all I’m just sharing what happened when I fell).

Last year McCall was featured in the Netflix “ex-gay” documentary “Pray Away” and his appearance in the film resulted in adulatory posts on Christian sites.

Still more evidence–as if more were needed–that ex-gay just means “repressed-gay, for a while”. You can’t pray the gay away.

Well, praying for forgiveness after is what the clergy who assault kids do, and it seems to go over well for the cult in general… but they still hate consenting gays more than child predators in the church. So they claim gays are the child predators and consider the job done.

Catholic Group Launches “Hide The Pride” Campaign To Check Out LGBTQ-Related Books From Public Libraries

Notice this is not about their kids, it is about regulating what other people’s kids can see / read.   They are trying to force their views on other people’s children, trying to force other parents to follow their church doctrines.   Your freedom as a parent to decide what your child should be able to read or have access to is being removed by a religious group.  It is about forcing the public to follow the doctrines of a religion in a secular country.  These people claim it is about protecting children, but their group is responsible for the largest mass molestation of children ever!  So they claim the LGBTQ+ are dangerous for kids, that the LGBTQ+ are molesting kids, but again their very group has the largest know child abuse instances.  Don’t we need to take away all books about these people, the religious groups, the Catholic church.   Hide the churches and don’t let them be mentioned in schools.  Plus one last thing when it comes to books with sexual improprieties they bible is the worst.   Incest is rampant, sex with little girls, sex with concubines, approval of prostitutes and so much more.   I think this short article is something all people who claim the bible says one man / one woman is the only way should read.    https://valerietarico.com/2012/03/29/captive-virgins-polygamy-sex-slaves-what-marriage-would-look-like-if-we-actually-followed-the-bible/  How is this a moral guide that children should be forced to read?   Hide this book from kids before you go after LGBTQ+ books.    Hugs

The Hill reports:

A controversial conservative Catholic organization is urging parents to “Hide the Pride” during Pride Month — by checking out any LBGTQ-related books they see at their local libraries so that no children will see them.

The group, Catholic Vote, says “recent polls” show “American moms and dads do not want their children exposed to sexual and ‘trans’ content as part of their education.”

The group says parents can inconspicuously check out materials and place them away from children at home.

From Catholic Vote’s press release:

Catholic Vote’s Hide the Pride parental resource page includes step-by-step instructions and tips for parents who want to send that message to their local library board.

After collecting signatures on a letter to the library board, members of the public will go to the library, find the “Pride Month” display full of LGBTQ books targeted at kids, and simply check out all those books at the front desk.

Catholic Vote recommends participants take a friend or two along so multiple library cards can be used. Having emptied the children’s “Pride” display, parents can go home and “place the Pride books on a shelf out of reach of children,” Catholic Vote suggests.

RELATED: Longtime JMG readers will recall Catholic Vote as the home of former NOM communications director Thomas Peters, who famously battled the hate group for insurance coverage after a diving accident left him a quadriplegic. Peters, who helped lead NOM’s campaign against Obamacare, later admitted that his treatment was being covered, in part, by…..Obamacare. Catholic Vote last appeared on JMG in January 2016, when they issued a lengthy rant against Trump, calling him a womanizing loser who had opened a “sinful” titty bar in one of his casinos.

Indeed. Unlike these idiots, who want to hide information away, I actually want people to read bibles and other religious works of all sorts. But they should be properly categorized.

Caitlyn Haiku Makoto • an hour ago

If they actually read what’s in there, tons of violence, sex, genocide, slavery, etc. But to the religious zealots, it’s much more scary to see a kids book whose message is that some families have two mommies, or that some people are different from them and that’s ok.

Lauren Boebert Prays For President Biden’s Death

Is this the idea of what prayer should be?  Is this the meaning of being a Christian?  I know that some decent good people are Christians or believe the Christian faith, how do they feel about this hijacking of their religion into a tool of complete hate and used to harm others.  As for lifelong faith the fact is Biden has shown his dedication to his faith all his life, and Boebert has only used her professed faith as an attack tool.    When Muslims are accused of a crime the US media demand that the other Muslims stand up and denounce the bad ones.  Will Christians do that with members of their own religion?     Hugs

Newsweek reports:

A video of Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert saying she prays that President Joe Biden’s days are few has gone viral on social media.

Speaking on Saturday at the Charis Christian Center Family Camp Meeting in Colorado, where she was a guest speaker, the Republican politician referred to bible verse Psalms 109:8 as she spoke about the 79-year-old Biden, much to the delight of the crowd.

“I do want you to know that I pray for our president,” Boebert said. “Psalm 109:8 says, ‘May his days be few and another take his office.’ Loud cheers can then be heard from the crowd and Boebert takes a pause and smiles before saying “Hallelujah”.

Read the full article.

Longtime JMG readers will recall that Psalm 109, known as an “imprecatory prayer,” was regularly used by Christians against President Obama.

The Christian site Got Questions notes that such prayers are meant to “invoke evil upon or curse one’s enemies.”

Psalm 109 reads, in part:

Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labor. Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children.

Tempers flare as Lee County Republican Party members attempt school board takeover

This is the county I live in.  As I said before Florida is a divided state, but the minority Republican party try to rule it by force of intimidation, gerrymandering, and voter suppression.   The Republican party under DeathSantis is a gang of thugs.  We are very much in a dangerous time in the US and it looks like the republican media arm of rabid right misinformation / misdirection will convince the people angry at gas prices and inflation that it is Biden’s fault.  The truth is both inflation and price increases are worldwide, and a lot of the price increases is price gouging.  Oil companies admit they love rolling in the profits.   But notice that these elections are supposed to be non-partisan and focused on the needs of the students, but instead the republicans are trying to gain control to make it about election power.    Hugs

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Some members of the Lee County Republican Party openly admitted they’re trying to take over the Lee County School Board during the upcoming elections.

That’s despite the fact the races in Florida are non-partisan. If you’ve seen the school board meetings over the last two years you know they’ve been contentious and at times violent.

But that isn’t stopping Republicans from trying to control the school board.

Conservative Republican Political Consultant Terry Miller pointed out that there are seven members of the school board and only three are republican in a county where every partisan race is held by a Republican.

He admits he wants to overhaul the board.

“What I’m doing is bringing forward conservative leadership for a conservative community,” Miller said.

He didn’t deny he was helping wage a culture war campaign

“There are aspects of that in the culture war because of the things you see happening on the school board,” Miller responded.

He’s backing Conservatives like Dan Severson.

“I’m talking about gender grooming and talking about very sensitive issues that should be family based,” Severson was stressing LGBTQ issues.

Many LGBTQ students in Southwest Florida schools reported feeling under attack.

“Because they feel like victims now they have the ability to use that a leverage to get privileged treatment,” Severson responded.

Jason “Big Mamma” Jones said no one should be attacked or bullied in the school system no matter who they are.

Jones is Severson’s republican competitor known fondly as “Big Momma” on the radio.

“I’m endorsed by sheriff Carmine Marceno. I’m endorsed by the Hispanic vote and I’m endorsed by Mayor Devin Anderson of Fort Myers,” he noted.

Both of his endorsements are republicans which signifies a split in the party.

They’re trying to unseat incumbent Debbie Jordan who believes school board races should be non-partisan and the focus should always remain on the children and not politics.

“It is a non-partisan race but there are different ways of achieving things and for me it’s following the conservative mind set,” replied candidate Sam Fisher.

Fisher is another one of Miller’s candidates who is up against two other republicans.

Kathy Fanny is also running for school board and she stressed politics has no place in the school race and she wants party affiliation left out of it.

“The curriculum is not partisan and to make it so would under serve our school population,” Fanny said.

All of the openly republican candidates also said they support electing the next school superintendent.

That is an issue voters will decide in November.

White Supremacist Group’s Founder Among The 31 Arrested For Conspiracy To Riot At Idaho Pride Event

The Washington Post reports:

Police in Idaho arrested 31 people who had face coverings, white-supremacist insignia, shields and an “operations plan” to riot near an LGBTQ Pride event on Saturday afternoon. Police said they were affiliated with Patriot Front, a white-supremacist group whose founder was among those arrested.

Authorities received a tip about a “little army” loading into a U-Haul truck at a hotel Saturday afternoon, said Lee White, the police chief in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a city of about 50,000 near the border with Washington. Local and state law enforcement pulled over the truck about 10 minutes later, White said at a news conference.

Many of those arrested were wearing logos representing Patriot Front, which rebranded after one of its members plowed his car into a crowd of people protesting a white-supremacist rally in Charlottesville in 2017, killing Heather Heyer and injuring dozens.

The Associated Press reports:

The men were standing inside the truck wearing khakis, navy blue shirts and beige hats with white balaclavas covering their faces when Coeur d’Alene police stopped the U-Haul and began arresting them on the side of the road.

“They came to riot downtown,” Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said at a news conference. All 31 were charged with conspiracy to riot, a misdemeanor, White said. The men were going through the booking process Saturday afternoon and are scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, he said.

Police led the men, one by one, to the front of patrol cars, took off their masks and then brought them to a police van. The group’s manifesto calls for the formation of a white ethnostate in the United States, the Southern Poverty Law Center said.

Right wingers and Trump cultists are flooding social media with their usual claims that Patriot Front is a secret FBI operation to make them look bad.

Patriot Front first appeared on JMG in February 2020 when over 150 members chanted “reclaim America” as they marched through Washington DC.

We heard from them again last summer when they were chased back to their U-Haul by counter-protesters in downtown Philadelphia.

They marched again in Washington DC in December 2021 before crashing January 2022 anti-abortion rallies in Chicago and Washington DC.

She’s everything you could expect her to be, and more.
In 2015 Scott is reported to have cut wires which were part of the fire-suppression system in her office. Scott believed at the time that the wires were in fact listening devices planted to spy on her. The wire-cutting incident was witnessed by other Idaho House members.

In August 2017, Scott defended white nationalism on her Facebook page. She reportedly said, “The way the media has set this up, the mention of white nationalist, which is no more than a Caucasian who (sic) for the Constitution and making America great again, and confusing it with term, ‘white supremacist’ which is extreme racism. Therefore, if one is ‘guilty’ of being white, one is clearly racist.”

At the start of the 2017 legislative session, Scott reportedly made a remark to fellow state representative Judy Boyle, upon learning of her appointment to the state legislature’s agriculture committee. The reported comment was that female lawmakers obtain ranking committee appointments and other leadership positions only if they “spread their legs.” The alleged comment received widespread rebuke from other state lawmakers.

In the 2019 legislative session, Scott sponsored a bill that would have required Idaho’s Child Protective Services to mirandize parents before assessing them or their children. After passing the House, the bill was held in committee in the Senate.

In 2019, it was reported that Scott was a member of the Coalition of Western States (COWS), a group founded by Washington state representative Matt Shea that has been accused of involvement in domestic terrorism.

In 2020, she dismissed the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, claiming the virus was trying to kill the U.S. Constitution and “The lying, Trump-hating media who continues to push global and socialist agendas has told us that there is an emergency.”

In February 2021 Scott had a Zoom meeting with constituents about gun rights, the 2021 United States Capitol attack, and free speech.

In April 2021 it was reported that Scott claimed the book To Kill a Mockingbird was an example of critical race theory in schools.

In 2021, Scott sought a copy of the police report accusing fellow state republican Aaron von Ehlinger of rape and asked the victim’s legal representative how a person who files a false police report alleging sexual assault could be charged with a crime.

Pennsylvania Reps Plan To Intro “Don’t Say Gay” Bill

Harrisburg’s ABC News affiliate reports:

Two Pennsylvania lawmakers plan to introduce a bill “to address discussions of gender identity and sexual orientation in Pennsylvania schools.”

State Senators Scott Martin [photo] and Ryan Aument, both Republicans representing Lancaster County, say the bill would pertain to age-inappropriate conversations in elementary schools.

According to the senators, the proposal would prohibit classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students and require public schools to develop a policy for notifying parents when there is a change to a student’s services or monitoring.

Read the full article.

Martin and Augment claim their bill would exempt LGBTQ students from the parental notice requirement if it can be “reasonably demonstrated” that doing so would put them in danger of “abuse or abandonment.” Yeah.

Martin, who dropped his bid for governor in March, authored the state Senate bill against transgender student athletes. The bill, which passed this week, has zero chance of being signed by Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf.

Armed Extremists Menace Idaho Pride Event, White Nationalist “Patriot Front” Mob Arrested By Riot Police

From a June 3rd report by the New Republic:

In the last month, two very different videos, both threatening to confront Pride celebrations with armed protest or “hunting” LGBTQ people and allies, have raised fears of how Republicans in state legislatures have enabled an environment for anti-LGBTQ violence and emboldened far-right extremists.

At the end of April, GOP Idaho state Rep. Heather Scott held an event billed as a talk on removing “inappropriate materials” from libraries and schools. She warned of an ongoing “war of perversion against our children” by the LGBTQ community, then invited two members of the Panhandle Patriots Riding Club to the stage.

Spokane’s NBC News affiliate reports:

In their video, the rhetoric used by Panhandle patriots was seemingly calling for violence, stating, “We’re having an event the very same day. That very same day, we actually intend to go head to head with these people. A line must be drawn in the sand.

“Good people need to stand up. She was talking about the repercussions—we say damn the repercussions. Stand up, take it to the head. Go to the fight.”

On Facebook, the PPRC advertised the event with the quote, “If they want to have a war, let it begin here,” and encouraged people coming to carry firearms.

No argument. And the only reason they didn’t feel empowered enough to fire indiscriminately into an LBGT+ crowd is because our government isn’t red yet

Well said. Your comment should be posted all over LGBT world. We’ve seen this before. They can be stopped now, but it will take substantial effort. They are very clear with their agenda. The next two election cycles will tell us where stand as a country and LGBT people. These people are increasingly emboldened and our peeps are a high value target. This is an existential threat. Ignore it at your peril.

It is noteworthy that the gay pride people are showing their faces but the fascists are wearing full face masks.

Somehow it’s OK to wear a mask to this event buy it’s not OK for them to wear a mask in a grocery store. Go Figure.

The above-mentioned Rep. Heather Scott appeared on JMG last year when she compared COVID protocols to Nazism. And now she’s invited literal Nazis to menace Pride events.

They want to go back to when women stayed home and served their husbands, the only thing gay on TV was Uncle Milty and he was to be laughed at not with, you could beat a fag and people would cheer you for it, and people of color (I won’t use their word) knew their place.

And why, puppies, do you think we’re seeing this kind of stuff today?

Answer: Today’s Republican Party.

Today’s Republican Party is a domestic terrorism organization.

Question for Fla. Republican senator: You OK with Proud Boys on Miami-Dade GOP exec committee?

https://www.local10.com/news/politics/2022/06/11/question-for-fla-republican-senator-you-ok-with-proud-boys-members-on-miami-dade-gop-exec-committee/

A former Republican lawmaker is calling for a former Republican senator and Miami-Dade Commissioner to take action to remove members of the far-right group Proud Boys from the Miami-Dade GOP Executive Committee.

Seven current or former Proud Boys are members of the Miami-Dade GOP Executive Committee.

J.C. Planas, a former Republican lawmaker, tweeted Friday. “I publicly call on my friend Sen. Rene Garcia to remove all Proud Boys from the Miami-Dade County Republican Executive Committee.”

“It is to the benefit of the Republican party and to the benefit of America that these extremist elements are excised from the Republican party,” Planas said.

Garcia, the local GOP Chairman, didn’t call Local 10 News back Friday about the Proud Boys membership.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio was at a joint appearance with Republican Senator Rick Scott in Doral Friday.

We asked Rubio if he was OK with Proud Boys serving on the Miami-Dade GOP committee.

“Well, when you ask me about the Communists and Socialists that are part of the local Democratic party, then we can talk about members of the Republican party.”

It was also an opportunity to query both about what they thought of Thursday’s prime-time hearing on the Jan. 6 Insurrection.

“I didn’t watch it, it’s a joke. If somebody committed a crime on Jan. 6, the justice department should charge them and that’s what’s happening now,” Rubio said.

Scott noted the committee hired a network news executive to make it good TV.

“This is a complete charade produced by an ABC reporter for TV. It’s like reality TV,” Scott said.

It was reality television, but for real and true. Documentary footage showed Proud Boys ominously marching on the mall and Henry “Enrique” Tarrio of Miami, the former national chairman of Proud Boys secretly meeting with Oath Keepers, a far-right anti-government militia group, before the assault.

So because some Democrats describe themselves as Socialists, it’s ok for the Miami republican party to be run by white nationalist thugs.
Great stuff.

Kissing up to Proud Boys is Lil Marco’s only way to make news these days. His Republican star has fallen.
