Texas AG On School Shootings: “God Has A Plan”

“If I lost one of my children I’d be pretty devastated, especially in a way that is so senseless and seemingly has no purpose.

“I would just have to say, if I had the opportunity to talk to the people I’d have to say, look, there’s always a plan. I believe God always has a plan. Life is short no matter what it is.

“And certainly, we’re not going to make sense of, you know, a young child being shot and killed way before their life expectancy.” – Texas AG Ken Paxton, speaking on right wing radio.

We never heard Eve’s testimony about this. Adam readily blames his wife. How do we know she didn’t just whip an apple at Adam’s head because he was being a chauvinist pig, unlike the pigs, who were too busy building homes of straw, sticks & bricks to engage in any kind of sexist behavior?

Police: Armed protestors asked to leave Juneteenth celebration

https://www.wsmv.com/2022/06/18/police-armed-protestors-asked-leave-juneteenth-celebration/

Two different protest groups were asked to leave downtown Franklin Saturday after attempting to disrupt the Juneteenth celebration.

Franklin Police said one of the groups consisted of people carrying signs that read “White Lives Matter” and “Stop White Replacement.” They added that another group, who said they were a buffer between festival-goers and the other group, included people who were armed and wearing ballistic vests.

Members of each group were also reportedly handling out pamphlets saying they are protesting because “the anti-white system is committed to our physical genocide” to festival attendees before police arrived.

Authorities asked both groups to leave and they complied. No violence or arrests were reported after Franklin officers intervened.

Aside from the confrontation, there were big smiles for the celebration organized by the Franklin Justice and Equity Coalition.

“It unites people together and you get networking,” Carol Johnson said. “It shows the world that we can come together and unite to do different things.”

More than 100 businesses, food vendors and churches participated in the event.

Texas Republicans adopt far-right platform rejecting Biden’s election, reserving right to secede

The Texas Republican Party passed a resolution over the weekend rejecting the 2020 election, calling President Biden the “acting” president, and outlining policy goals that include overturning same-sex marriage and possibly seceding from the United States. CBS News political correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns joins anchors Tanya Rivero and Tony Dokoupil with details.

Let’s talk about how Republicans create demand for strict gun laws….

Proud Boys Assault Crenshaw At TX GOP Convention

Mediaite reports:

Rep. Dan Crenshaw and his staff were violently confronted at the Republican Party of Texas convention a short time ago, when far-right social media activist Alex Stein and others whom witnesses described as Proud Boys began shouting “eyepatch McCain” at him – an attempted insult coined by Tucker Carlson. A witness to the incident tells Mediaite that in addition to Stein and others being escorted out of the building, “some arrests” were made at the scene.

Read the full article. Alex Stein, you may recall, was part of the mob of extremists that attempted to storm a Dallas gay bar earlier this month.

Basically the same thing that happened to German conservatives who thought they could control Hitler

Edgar Jung tried valiantly to counter Hitler, but it was too late at that point and he was assassinated.

Tucker’s so happy that at this point in his pathetic wimpy life, the bad boys on the playground have moved on from throwing rocks at lil’ Tuckums and throwing them at Tuckum’s targets.

Racist Parents Drive New Black Educator From District In CRT-Fueled Panic

Please notice the open racism and how these parents were taught how to be as intimidating as possible and were told to have it filmed so it could be used on Tucker Carlson or other Fox shows.   This is the new KKK.   They not only chased her from one school in the district but hounded her out of a second school in the area.    The parents flat out stated they were a white majority and did not want a black teacher.  Period.   The right complains of cancel culture yet love to cancel people and things they don’t like.   Hugs

Cecilia Lewis, a black teacher who had recently begun work in a small Georgia town was driven out of her district and threatened by racist agitators baselessly claiming that she was going to bring critical race theory into the school’s curriculum. The parents were so dead-set on ruining Lewis’ career that they even followed her to her next school job after she was fired from Cherokee County School District, to drive her out of that job as well. Cenk Uygur, Jayar Jackson, and Jackson White discuss on The Young Turks.

“In April of 2021, Cecelia Lewis had just returned to Maryland from a house-hunting trip in Georgia when she received the first red flag about her new job.

The trip itself had gone well. Lewis and her husband had settled on a rental home in Woodstock, a small city with a charming downtown and a regular presence on best places to live lists.

It was a short drive to her soon-to-be office at the Cherokee County School District and less than a half hour to her husband’s new corporate assignment.

While the north Georgia county was new to the couple, the Atlanta area was not. They’d visited several times in recent years to see their son, who attended Georgia Tech. Lewis, a middle school principal, initially applied for a position that would bring her closer to the classroom as a coach for teachers.

But district leaders were so impressed by her interview that they encouraged her to apply instead for a new opening they’d created: their first administrator focused on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

DEI-focused positions were becoming more common in districts across the country, following the 2020 protests over the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.

The purpose of such jobs typically is to provide a more direct path for addressing disparities stemming from race, economics, disabilities and other factors.”

Let’s talk about new developments from Uvalde and policy….

This video puts to bed a lot of the myths about school teachers and also talks about the fact that the police also had AR-15 weapons and still did not try to shoot the gunman, because they were afraid of hitting a student.   Think of a teacher with only 24 hours training being asked to do with a pistol what a trained police officer with an assault type weapon found too dangerous.    Good video on the subject.   Hugs

Democrat Blasts GOP For Ditching Pride Month

The right is willing to threaten violence and to follow through on that violence to stop pride events or any LGBTQ+ events from happing.   They are trying to make gay people to scared to be in public, they want to make the LGBTQ+ disappear from society which means removing us from books, movies, and from public sight.   Just the other day 31 domestic terrorist were arrested after they packed themselves in the back of a U-Haul to go to a pride day event.   This reminds me to the way racist use to gather to attack black people demonstrating for equality.   This is domestic terrorism against select groups and it is supported and endorsed by Republicans.   Hugs

MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart talks to Democrat Jeremy Moss, Michigan’s only openly gay state senator, after his Republican colleagues refused to approve the exact same Pride Month resolution that passed last year. Moss noted in his remarks to Republicans that it’s not surprising this happened during an election year.
